Deputy President William Ruto has called upon leaders in the country including politicians to preach peace among Kenyans even as they serve them.

Ruto said leaders should be at the forefront forging for cohesion in the country and urged the country to resist attempts by some leaders to take Kenya back to the old ways of doing politics.

“We are past the politics of ethnicity and hate. Ours is development-leaning politics that will transform our country,” Ruto said.

 
 
The DP was speaking to residents of Kitengela in Kajiado on Sunday after prayer services at the Free Pentecostal Baraka Church and Kitengela Methodist Church.

He said that Kenyans will decide who will be their next president come 2022 and that Kenya has a maturing democracy whose people can freely make their voting decisions.

“Do not bow down to intimidations and coercion. The so-called deep state and system is hot air. It is a cocktail of criminals,” he said.

Ruto who was accompanied by 25 Mps said that insisted that the country is not ready for a referendum, arguing that people are still struggling to make ends meet.

“Coronavirus has resulted in a lot of suffering as the economy is ailing. What is important now is to focus on alleviating the sticky challenges of poverty and unemployment.”

So how is Sonko an inflencers while its known the Kamba who elected him in both 2013 /2017 elected Raila and ODM Mps in those elections . So how is Sonko an inflencers while its known the Kamba who elected him in both 2013 /2017 elected Raila and ODM Mps in those elections . Kingi as correctly pointed by RV is in the process of moving to Rutos  ringside only that the war on corruption has made them to go underwater for a minute . You will see once 2022 approaches and it will be evident on the changes at DPP and DCIs offices

Atwoli influence is power brokering - Mdvd sermed very happy recently to be confirmed as Luhya prince. Joho influence is mobilizing & drug money - Luo are not 70% of Mombasa - Joho has the Swahilis/Arabs. Kingi remains in Baba armpit from BBI rallies, Ganda byelections, etc - and you hope he is joining Jumwa - no evidence of that. Kiraitu or Kawira un/popularity is conjecture - the lady struggled to floor Kajuju for Women Rep - Kiraitu is governor. Ditto for Ngirici - another almighty flowergirl. Only Kihika is credible rising star due to her position, strategy and Nakuru demographics.

I dont agree with you on anything, Ive told you before most of the elected politicians around  90% usually dont make it back .They cant influence anything rather they are influenced to seek nomination using popular parties which wananch(ground) have identified . In this case the would be Rutos Party and would be Railas party .
In Kibra still Luos would have voted for Railas candidate , why you always keep on referencing Kibra a known stronhold of Raila , Jubilee didnt expect to win but to decided to get into it for a strong showing .
So which power brokering has Atwoli done and emerged with victory ? Atwoli is just a busy body known for swindling money from unions and companies
Luos are around 30% of Mombasa electorate , thats a huge number which can influence an election outcome if they combine with another group like Bantu Swahili  and Kamba . Arabs never and have never voted for Joho . You clearly lack in Coast politics

It is said before going to Coast, the DP had a phone conversation with the Kilifi governor, and there was an agreement for a secret meeting on the day of his arrival. RV Pundit  is correct on most of his analysis however he is wrong by insinuating Ruto plans to use violence to blackmail GEMA  . Yes the conditions he gives were in place in the 90s and 2007  when there was violence in the former Rift Valley Province , However things are different now , actually  there are places which completely changed names after mass evacuation during P.E.V.
Ive come to appreciate that he likes twisting facts to support his line of argument - Take for example today he is saying Ogiek are no Kalenjin where as its factual and documented that they are indeed Kalenjins .

Now coming to you , young lady you live in your own world . If you think PK will be able to split  Mt Kenya votes you would be in for a rude awakening . I can guarantee you if he stands even Raila will defeat him in Mt Kenya .
