Precisely. Raila failing to do his job as an elected opposition leader and allowing Uhuru so much comfort zone he has added weight is responsible for the underachievement.

Uhuru is using NASA to get away with anything including underperformance. Ministers are least concerned about performing.

In the first term Raila continued politicking and it never necessarily stopped Uhurus Government from performing. If you compare Uhurus achievement in the first term and second term you will see a big difference . Uhuru was better off  without Raila. In my opinion he should have co-opted Kalonzo and Mudavadi instead of Raila. With bringin Raila in as much as he has gotten the legislature but at a cost of losing political capital and inturn in danger of going as the worst performing president.

Apart from failing he even aided Uhuru to do an injustice remember 2018 finance bill where majority of Jubilee and ODM were against addition of VAT on petroleum products only for Raila to whip ODM Mps into voting for it. That was one of the reason the economy was affected negatively in 2019 . The cost of doing business went up together with the cost of living.

This is funny . We saw the handover of Presidency from Moi to Raila in 2002 . Raila then  was KANUs Secretary General , We also saw the Handover of Presidency from Kibaki To Raila in 2013 Raila then was Kibakis Prime Minister.

Power concede nothing. Ruto is going for it by working for it; he is not waiting like Raila or Kalonzo or Gideon to be endorsed by Uhuru.

And if that endorsement doesn't come - you start scrambling in last minute to form CORD or NASA - and then FAIL again.

Reread my reply in context of your initial post. Secondly why did Raila boot out of KANU in 2002 after the merger between KANU and NDP. He went and told his people Moi had promised to handover Presidency to him after helping him in the legislature.
With Narc it was the same thing after Narcwinning power and his over ambitiousness Raila went and told his tribes men that Kibaki had betrayed agter helping him win the presidency with Kibaki tosha.
History is repeating its self so when we say historically who has been KYM.ambitious and a fool who never learns there you have your answer.

Ruto had been elected deputy president twice . Raila became a Prime Minister by the virtue of Rutos . This is a fact since Ruto desrted him he lost  2013 and 2017 elections and come 2022 another loss .

Residents Condemn Laikipia Women Rep. Catherine Waruguru

Residents in Laikipia and Nanyuki are at loggerheads with their women representative Catherine Waruguru. There have been reports of protests in the area as residents condemn Catherine Waruguru for misuse of power as well as use of excessive force by police officers associated with her.

It is said that one John Kameni was physically abused by a bodyguard belonging to Catherine Waruguru. This came about after Mr. John differed with Catherine Waruguru on various political matters. According to eye witnesses, the bodyguard together with police officers came looking for John Kameni at a local shopping centre and once they found him, they proceeded to beat him up telling him to stay clear of Waruguru. Mr. John Kameni also claimed that the bodyguard threatened to kill him before elections if he did not heed their advice.

Residents were angered by this act and proceeded to threaten Catherine Waruguru with legal action. They took Mr. John Kameni to the hospital and assisted him to acquire a P3. They also requested CS Interior Fred Matiangi to intervene and serve justice on the matter.
