Thanks for the advice. I understand you are not really helping us against Jubilee but that is your sense of moral and civic duty. I disagree that civil resistance is a crime.
For many years I was a member of the civil resistance in a European country. All Western European countries actively set up such units to defend civilians and empower them to offer resistance - even armed resistance - in event of an enemy invading and occupying the country. The enemy at the time was Communist.
Uganda has invaded and occupied Migingo Islands. It could do the same to Busia, Bungoma, Siaya etc. We have Tanzania touching Migori, RV and Western (through Lake Victoria). So what is illegal about that. The party shall not be forming a militia.
Not all people openly state what they did in 2007. I have over the years been researching what transpired in different places and know that there were gallant efforts all over the country. My adoptive home of Pwani played a major role that has gone unsung. The Kibaki government wanted to create the impression that Pwani was not in it.
Which is why if you look at Shelly Beach area - all grabbed land has been surrendered and the thieves have fled. Those who didn't sell have lost it.
Why do they need training and that would be illegal anyway. In 2007 in our place people were innovating as they went by - so much - ICC and some fools though it was pre-planned. For instance people simply parking long transit trucks on Kisumu roads - will stop the cops from reaching say Kondele - and maiming people. Felling huge trees, digging out tarmac, bringing down bridges, bringing huge bolders to block roads.....you don't need to be trained or armed..you have to do it yourself. But Luos simply never want to think - they just come armed with stones - and police fill Kisumu morgues in a day - so predictable. It was so bad in 2007 - people in my place were doing pro-bono work to stop reinforcement reaching Kisumu by digging out huge trenches and felling trees on roads leading to Kisumu. In kericho - I saw people blow up transformers - and all sorts of home-made bombs - that sparked huge explosion.
Asking Raila to arm you is treason. This is so hopeless I don't even know how CORD will resist Jubilee win - whether rigged or not. You simply don't have what it takes to bring gov to it's knees - thank goodness for Kalenjin stepping up in 2007. In Kapsoit people stormed the police station and killed the cop who was shooting people - took all the 12 guns in the armoury. There are many cops including I think two DOS who were killed in revenge attacks in Kalenjin for engaging in extra-judicial killing - even hapo mogogosiek - people burnt a cop together with DO office.

The Opposition should start making preparations on how to counter these tools of oppression. They should start openly training people on how to disable water cannons, and APCs.
Waiting until you are well beaten to scream is not the strategy I would support for 2017
