Gumzo (Mjadala) and Termie
I am just pointing out the signs and indicators of a party already tired and worn out. KANU took 25 years to start showing such impunity: Jubilee is not even 4 complete years in power and it has already beaten KANU on every front: Corruption, Impunity, Illegal detentions, Extra Judicial Killings Enforced Disappearances, Illegal eavesdropping, Political bribery, Election rigging, etc
It is like we never passed a new constitution. What they can't change through their voting machines in parliament, they simply ignore.
There is a book by Ezekiel Mphahlele I read. It was called Chirundu. Chimba Chirundu, ex-Headmaster and now powerful Minister for transport is brought for trial for bigamy following a complaint by his wife - Tirenje. He knew when going through another marriage that it was illegal. But he just didn't care. He goes to prison alright - which is a twist not likely in Kenya.
In the novel, Chirundu - a very nasty man to almost everybody - is strangely very civil, polite and extra nice to his nephew whom he refers to by his respectable title "Asibweni".
It was with relief I came to learn that this was based on a true story. The author read about a minister in Zambia being jailed for bigamy and decided to provide an explanation.
Now when you listen to Eunice he is the image of respect. He gives the aura of being a man obedient to the law and polite. Now contrast his image and his actions and you find him no better than the worst of Moi's ministers like The Late Onyonka (who shot a man in the mouth when his body guards were to afraid to shoot) or Paul Ngei (who has a number of bodies buried around the country.
