A study by Mizani Africa shows that 35.6% of the electorate prefer the President William Ruto-led party.

Trailing in second place is the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) with 19.8%, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) with 6.7%, Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) fourth with 5.1% and Jubilee Party with 1.1%.

However, despite the UDA party's popularity, the electorate prefers a different candidate on an individual basis.

DAP-K's Seth Panyako is the most preferred with an electoral success prospect of 27.7%, with UDA's Rhyan Injeni trailing with 10.9%.

The pollster observed that the dynamic indicates Seth’s candidacy is being defined by his personal appeal and leadership qualities, cutting across the usual boundaries of party politics.

Once Ruto is kicked in Mbeere and Malava - Gema and Luhya - he will be left with Luo and pastoralists. That why he is desperate to keep Gusii from Matiang'i.

Looks like UDA will sweep all by elections seats. UDA failure to capture all seats will be fatal. Amount of money poured for each seat us crazy. Billions to win an MP seat? Waacha ikae!

Gusii were the first ones to leave UDA  then Gema. Luhya have left too. Raila can only bring in Max 9%. Most Luo will revolt in a general election. I think Ruto will run on ODM in 2027.
