Pundit anybody update us on parliament
« on: December 18, 2014, 10:59:08 AM »
Has the bill been passed yet? What amendments were passed? Someone tells me the debate was chaotic.

The battle will go to supreme court. We cannot allow Uhuru to reverse those gains.

I would not mind a short-lived coup to line up Muturi and others and once they are shot, restore democracy. I am angry.

Their own hubris will destroy them. Self-destruction. Just watch Jubilee implode. Most of our Jubilee Mps including UhuRUto i have come to realize are really intellectual featherweight who have been taken hostage by mt kenya mafia in civil and security services.

My understanding is that Karangi's logic is that once the bill is passed and signed by kamwana, teachers and quarry workers in Mandera can go to bed and have themselves a good night's sleep.

Trust me, if we went to elections tomorrow and I knew Jubilee would lose, I would support those amendments today. The first beneficiary would be every MP who supported. I would have them arrested and kept detained for years. 90 days can end up being 9 years!

How can you explain to an idiot that the laws that detained Chief Justice Willy Mutunga were enacted by a parliament that was told the laws were aimed at SHIFTAS. They voted for them sure that shiftas were dangerous people and any way they really doubted there were such human beings. In the end yes Somalis out number every other tribe as the beneficiaries of Preservation of Public Security Act. But they are closely followed by the members of the two tribes that formed the majority that enacted the garbage - Kikuyus and Luos in equal numbers! It was so under Kenyatta and it was so under Moi!

Karangi want a somali like situation where nobody knows what is going on. In EJK(extra judicial killing),they have all the tools to deal with terror(nothing can top that) but these laws are meant to silence and intimidate those calling for security reforms, those calling out graft, tribalism and incompetence. You can bet Alai type would be the first person to fall foul of these laws.
My understanding is that Karangi's logic is that once the bill is passed and signed by kamwana, teachers and quarry workers in Mandera can go to bed and have themselves a good night's sleep.

Yes it did.  Here is the story http://www.the-star.co.ke/news/parliament-passes-security-bill-despite-chaos-house.

Suppose they make kamwana dictator for life.  All the powers at his disposal.  How this improves the current security situation remains a complete mystery.

It is obvious part of the reason Kenya is going nowhere fast with regards to security is because it has been completely politicized ergo tribalized.

Prince Eddie of Zamunda whispered in his usual gruff voice that he was singing along to the empress' new song when he saw the king's cupbearer. Standing as he did near the royal long legs, his toes suffered as he tried to imitate the famous jig to the fire-breathing Frying Squad orchestra's latest tunes. The tempo was just too fast, faster than a Boston marathoner on a police chase. Prince Eddie sent word to the "cupbearer's munions" but he ignored them and continued sucking honey using a broken sosiat.
