Putin couldn't go home with nothing. He had to do something and he just did. At what cost?

His rubble will crumble. You see Russia is that bully that no one likes. He has lost so many backyard fights but he is still stuck in vicious cycle of bullying.
Russia will continue to be butt of jokes of Yankees. The only people impressed by putins antics are people from villages in third world

He made sure he has his own kind of "Democracy" before he started rebuilding the Russian empire. Killed, poisoned, or maimed every opposition figure so that he appears to have full support. Invasion of Ukrain is ongoing. Nobody really knows what will happen next.
One thing am sure is commodity driven inflation will hit hardest.

Putin is low level dangerous criminal. He got rich stealing from his own town. He is a the lowest of Russian breed. A repulsive repugnant mungiki type of criminal

Compare to US meddling all over the world - Russia has more genuine friends - even if it was one.
US is the ultimate global bully
It just cannot bully the Russia
And that is what many people include me like about Russia and Putin.
The one country that can tell the US to go jump into Lake victoria
And they would not start war games like they intimidate China or Germany or Iran or Japan.
This what world ought to be -
Russia and their internal affairs - nobody cares - whether they are developed, autocratic - as long as they keep it to their north pole.
But US has often conflate it's position in the world - to be some GOD over the world
And yet it been irresponsible and mostly acted like pure idiots

As long as the US foreign policy continue to be US-first -isreal-second- not human-first - we will continue to cheer Putin and Russia.

You are going off on a tangent. The basic issue is why can't Russia woo others on to her side?

Like what makes it so radioactive to countries that ought to be her closest allies?

That is crucial failure of Russia.

why does Russia need allies. It has UN veto power.it has largest land on earth..twice USA..it's more nuclear heads than its needs.Russia is not ought to create any allies. For what.If it's Unsc it can veto anything.Accept that Russia is military super power.

Russia theatre seem like red herring. The real action may actually be in western countries.

Canada just nullify civilian laws then enacted Martial law, while the USA looks headed the same route

We are likely headed to a zyber bandemic

Because it is being encircled by NATO and it complains loudly about it. If it had good relations with its neighbors they wouldn't turn to NATO. Ukraine just 12 years was a Russian ally, even Belarus was turning against Russia, Putin kept Lukashenko in power. Allies are essential, they multiply your force projection. Soviet Union and now Russia are learning the value of soft power and persuasion.

There's video of Nigerian youth ready to fight for Ukraine.

Is Kenya on same mission?
