Hehe - they lost fair & square - these are face-saving excuses. It deliberate convolution not stupidity. I read Joho was excoriated by folks in the meeting. Anyway it at least good ODM is having a post-mortem and introspection. Mostly Joho mswahili taking on Mvurya the mdigo wasn't good.

Humiliation is good - and this was timely and so handy for Nairobi. If Boga won you might have Kidero getting automatic ticket for governor. Now they are humble and giving Ruto shivers.

Joho despite being D minus drug dealer like Sonko manage to fix a clean and respectable facade. No unprintable foul language while equally fork-tongued. He has reined out the "shoga" and such from his vocabulary. Worst that I hear is "mwizi ni mwizi." Few scandals like SGR depot. No violence or even baby mama drama. Dude is not even a performer at all but has a fair game as self-crowned kingpin. For a youth and fake sultan from 1% Swahili he has done good for himself.

Yes Joho problem is Swahili are <1% akin to mhindi... otherwise they worship him.  His fate is very tied to Raila - he buy the fake clout by funding ODM and bullying everyone as deputy leader. After the humbling defeat he need to reconcile or at least stop undermining Kingi and Mvurya. Otherwise his star might dim past Mombasa even as CS.

Now going forward he is in a fix..coast hate Kenyattas and anything like it..for grabbing their land and now SGR.Secondly ODM has mistreated coast by appointing only Luos to key positions.Thirdly mijikenda have leaders now of their own..Kingi and Mvurya.Fourthly he is not backing his loyal deputy..mijikenda kingi something..and wants his poodle..late nassir son or even worse dubai tycoon Arab competitor Suleiman Ali.Mijikenda make 35 percent of mombasa...so mijikenda just need Ruto to open their eyes.kingi is last man standing before they do a revolution on odm.If I was Ruto I would buy Amason kingi and game short..giriama,digo and duruma..raila become kaput.kaput.Arabs n Swahili will not save him.Siasa wewe hapana jua

That lots of ifs and buts. Raila been steering Mijikenda by remote since Karisa heart attack. Ruto was in political diapers. How do you "open Mijikenda eyes" without a)better option b)better talent? Raila would equally "open Kipsigis eyes" to Nandi conmanship - but Ruto is talented and their best chance at power. See?

Tell us - why Kingi would listen to Ruto and not Raila? Raila offer CS golden parachute - Ruto offer early retirement with no pension.

It not all about Joho or Mijikenda - Raila is a better strategist. He actually let them shine - including Johos, Kingis. Ruto trying to upstage Kalonzos and Mdvds, Wetas is really silly strategy. Once he pose a real threat- he becomes oil&water akin to Ruto-Raila. Gema insularity is a strength that make them better partner to Ruto and Raila than either between them.

Noone will agree to partner with Ruto - then lose their base - and dumped. I told you in 2018 - Uhuru & Gema elite will hammer Ruto like a dog after mlolongo sacrilege. Kalonzos, Kingis or anyone will bail too for the same reason.

Politics concede nothing or power.Ruto will take it if he can and negotiate if he can't.Now is taking time For kingi..his sphere of influence is kilifi.Ruto does not need him except to completely vanquish Raila.Without kingi..Ruto will probably lose 1% of national vote..with him he gain a lot more by vanguishing .This is time to take the ground..boardroom deals will be done last minute in 2023
