Leadership & integrity act 2012

Quote the law moron.
Pundit your legal ignorance is glaring as usual - Sonko cannot run again for governor- ANYWHERE in Kenya. He has just been indicted by the county assembly and the senate. If Mumbi Ngugi doesn't save him - IEBC will reject his candidature.

I have seen Tangatanga desperadoes chasing their tails on twirra - nope Sonko and Waititu cannot run for governor no more. Nor in fact any elective public office.

True Robina. Sonko and Waititu cannot run for public office until they are declared innocent. It would be a travesty of justice for IEBC/DCI/EACC to clear them to run when they have been found unsuitable by a quasi-judicial process of their own assemblies and the Senate. Should they for some reason be allowed to run, Sonko's rivals only need to play that clip of him shouting expletives over and over at campaign rallies. There are also pending court cases. Chapter Six can be invoked in many ways to bar them.

Dream on: the act details the constitution. Impeachment is the equivalent of a conviction by court for public office. MCAs, MPs, senators are political courts - they merely cannot jail you but their word is final on eligibility. Judiciary can only overrule them on process. Sonko has narrow window to prove MCA accounts were hacked. Waititu goose was already eaten.

An MP recalled would equally loose the right to vie. Permanently.

We can quote the Commonwealth if you prefer: in the US, the chief justice usually oversees the process where the subject is the president - or the state chief judge oversees for governor. The US constitution bars presidential or gubernatorial pardons for impeached folks. This is because impeachment while not a jail sentence, is not only immediate removal from office but strips one of the right to hold public office in future.

Impeachment is not conviction -and if found in criminal conviction - Sonko has to exhaust all the avenues. Right now he has court case on this and other. He will still be eligible unless he doesn't want to run again.

You pretend to be clever but you dont explain exhaustively when you quote commonwealth laws in relative to Kenyan context.Until  the  high court exercises its writ jurisdiction in this matter what you are saying is hogwash as proven in the UhuRuto cases back in 2012

Impeachment is political conviction- which knock one out of eligibility. He can run to high court about MCA or senate process - within 14 days - otherwise senate has final jurisdiction about the substantive grounds for impeachment.

Anyway your legal record speak for itself - it not first time you're chasing your tail. Clueless fool.

Can Kidero run in the Nairobi gubernatorial?

Yup. Neither convicted by the senate nor the courts. In fact Kidero can run countrywide for ANY seat.

Uhuruto CRIMINAL case never ended in conviction. Thrown out by ICC equivalent of a magistrate's court. Sonko POLITICAL case has ended in conviction - unless high court saves his sorry arse. Ball is in Sonko's court - 14 days - after which the senate sentencing is final.

Oh, I am clever obviously but that's hardly the point here.
