Dark side of US for kenyans
« on: November 21, 2020, 07:47:43 PM »
Most of it is due to Alcoholism and drug use. Others is just social misfits who do not like irresponsibility. They run from their kids and wife/wives. Someone like Manjanja is a fucking trash

The IT graduate is the usual Kenyan drunkard. Drink every weekend till they get arrested for violence or DUI

These look like cases of undiagnosed mental illnesses, alcoholism etc.  Some Africans are terrible at identifying them.  And when they identify them, they stigmatize, instead of being a source of help(doesn’t have to be material) for the victim.

I tried for one idiot here, the hardest thing I have ever done. He wins green card at a late age of 29, his family knows my family, they send him to me. I believe how you end up here depends on who picks you up at the airport and how they assist you navigate those initial stages. The guy comes to my house, I had an extra bedroom, I house him with my family, my wife and kids liked him a lot. I show him where to get entry level jobs here, the guy is a graduate of Kiambu institute with some degree that I cannot recall. One of my buddies had an old car that he wasn’t using, gives it to him. The guy now has a car, a job, a place to live rent free until he is comfortable enough to strike on his own. Long story short, within the first six months, two drunk driving with me bailing out every time. This really starts to put him behind the curve ball with fines, can’t drive etc but I forgive him, within the next two yrs, two more drunk driving one with an accident and fleeing the scene. The judge would not hear of any plea deals, he was to go in for five years. The guy fled back to Kenya with almost nothing. I haven’t seen him ever since but I hear stories of him so depressed that he looks like he is on his death bed. He comes from a very poor family so he has no assets in Kenya. I have seen similar stories including my cousin, his father paid a fortune to send him to college here fully paid, all he had to do is go to class and put in the work. He stopped going to class and was deported, his father, my uncle was waiting for him at the airport to murder him but the mother intervened. Luckily the father has some influence and the guy ended up with a job in the insurance industry within months. If people can come from war zones and make it here, a Kenyan should not have an excuse, even with high school education, you are starting five steps from these refugees from these places. I do not even watch these stories but I did this one because it was posted here. You were not promised anything by anyone when you came here, the Kenyan community does not owe you anything, we do not even have to be a community, America is an idea and a cutthroat business, you got to put in the work and time to make here. Where in the world do people live without bills, if paying bills depresses you, you better off yourself very quickly and save us the trouble, where on earth do people live for free without bills? Migrate to Hong Kong and pay $3000 for a drawer to live in, then you will really wanna kill yourself very quickly and painfully. For those who are smart, the more the bills, the more they work or train for something that pays more. If you come to me with these sob stories, I risk going to jail and punch you in the face.

Gai! Huyu ni shetani sio binadamu. How the heck do you screw up so many layups in life?

 - Parents who paid for your college tuition
 - Won the lottery
 - Someone showed the ropes when you came here. I came alone from the airport, stayed at a motel for a week.
 - Free rent
 - Free car
 - Free food
 - Court fees paid for

Bure kabisa.

I used to dismiss Uchawi as nonsense but this guy almost makes me think twice. His green card came to my house in two weeks, the type of pain I have seen people experience or go through to get this document is unimaginable. I know people who lost their parents in Kenya, could not go, I have seen executive brilliant women from Kenya marry chokoras here just so they can secure that document and their children’s future. This guy comes here and shits on it within four years. It’s the weirdest thing, the first time you meet him, he has that kakikuyu wisdom and you can’t help thinking, “ this guy will do something.” then he makes the worst decisions I have ever seen in my life. I think about that guy and his poor mother who had put all her hopes on him almost everyday. At least for rich kids, there is that entitlement and knowing pops will take care of everything but this guy came from shit.
