In an interview with a local radio station early this week, Jeremiah Ngayu Kioni confirmed, without any shade of regret, that Mudavadi’s 2013 presidential bid was a carefully scripted charade. Kioni confirmed that when he and his family visited Kanyagia Primary School in Ndaragwa constituency, none of his six family members voted Mudavadi in the 2013 general elections. Indeed, when presidential votes were analysed; Mudavadi did not manage a single vote from the entire Ndaragwa constituency, which by then had about 50,000 registered voters.

Speaking very confidently on radio, Kioni made damning allegations including the fact that he knew all along that Mudavadi’s bid was to split the Western vote and therefore deny CORD’s Raila Odinga an outright win. Kioni also openly revealed that a series of meetings had been held at State House Nairobi between himself, Mudavadi, Uhuru, Kibaki and their close aides at which time it was agreed they would be given a party, they would be fully funded and friendly media would ensure they get adequate publicity; but the ultimate intention was not to win, or serve in the opposition ranks, but to give the Uhuruto Jubilee coalition its much needed boost by splitting Luhya votes that would otherwise have gone to the CORD coalition. In the end, Mudavadi managed 483,981 votes nationally in a controversial and poorly managed general election.

How is it related. Those are genuine 'failure's who are passionate about stuff. They are bringing their talents and money to Ruto who will shape them.

But here is someone who is a player - going to play Raila daytime.

The idea was obvious - how do we stop NASA from causing trouble after they boycotted election - well promise Raila PORK in 2022 if he keep mum.

The failure is down to backing the wrong horse. A joker like Raila can never win your PORK. Ruto left Raila precisely for that reason. The man is lazy, disorganized, controlled by cabal around him and more tragically - not tactical or strategic. If Ruto had stuck with Raila - he would be like the rest - totally hopeless.

Now unlike Raila who wasted these talents - Ruto is deploying them correctly. These guys are under payroll but work their arse. Ruto is guy who wakes up six and sleep late. The dynasties wakes up 11 am with hangover - and stay sober for 2hours - maybe read a prepared speech - and then  by 3pm - they are back to pombe time.

Obviously Ruto is winning big talents - Owalo is genius in business/org strategy (got wasted by raila), Hassan (knows his way around civil society) - got wasted by Kalonzo. Muthama obviously is political player with financial muscle. Kivutha. Ndiis. even 5th brother from Butere  Muluka. Khawale is very effective street mobilizer - he only failed because Oparanya delivered in Kakamega.

Ruto is assembling folks who helped Raila get 45% - while he was mostly sleeping, disorganized and lazy like his fellows underachievers Kalonzo and Madvd.

Ruto has been dealing with young boys and making them winners - like of Murkomen. Now he is looking for men. Once these guys are put to work - and streamline into strategic and tactical direction - with Ruto leadership and management skills - they will excel.

As for Kioni - best of luck to Raila. Power politics is not for naive guys like him. I am sure Kioni job is simple - keep Raila fooled - and the same can be said of Murathe. Maybe only Kamanda is genuine in his hatred for Ruto.
