Where is dr masinde..?
« on: September 30, 2020, 02:58:18 AM »
He is the only luo that could mix satire and siasa. Funny chap. He used to call raila fanatics "raila youks" I may have the wrong spelling..his mascada were the funniest I remember r him telling a,story of how he went to visit his rich brother that lived in Lavington. He set up the scene where dinner was served and a whole jogoo meat was one of the dishes ..he decided to eat the thigh or some other meat that in Luo is reserved for the head of household. His brother just sat there seething in anger..man I miss the diversity of those days..now all we have to listen to is pundit obsession with his new God ruto, this other nowaya demagogue that writes ten yards of inshas haha daily about wheelbarrows and blnsense...it is like pundit IQ dropped a 100 points in the last 7 years..now all the does is scroll social media looking for any news about ruto..

Robina at least she can talk technology but she has patience o saint arguing with pundit is like arguing with Rwanda makers boulder. Pundit never changes his stand even if you hit him with clear unrefutable evidence...

Njamba - glad to see you are yet to succumb to alcoholism. I am too beat to follow the Biden-Trump debate - send me updates every 15 minutes or else.

I was never into alcohol. I live a very clean healthy life. The only drug I take is social media and fine gals

I have always wondered what happened to him, his last days online he had reverted to a staunch baba supporter going full circle like Orengo. Masinde was skilled and funny, I remember one story he told about visiting his relatives in Nyanza i think yala and on the road as he was driving cattle decided to cross the road..... He never finished that story, but always captivated me.  :D :D

Guys, Masinde went to school with RAO. So assuming he is around 75 years old, anything can happen to him.

He had a writing talent. Simple plain English prose that was a joy to read even if you disagreed with his ideas.

Omollo has some of that story teller gift despite the sexism and Kikuyu grapes. Njamba is also good story teller - serves flavored historic anecdotes like samia or mokimo; - I think he is also late 50s or 60s with Omollo. Age does that to men. It easy to conceive Pundit equally will be lengendry storyteller in 30 years.

Omollo really remind me of Shikuku. Whatever kikuyus and Indians did to Shikuku - :) - Kinda FairBalanced bitterness with Kalenjin - I think he was PEV victim or close. But Omollo is verbose and likely to employ intimidating English :). Njamba is like me - we learnt English after too much Kikuyu/Kalenjin was ingrained. All my life I never could figure out English - Kiswahili at least has formulae - I don't like unstructured things. I am too lazy for that. I aced all my subjects except for English. Never got A- except in English that gave me a B.

Nothing to do with mother tongue- likes of Kiraitu or Linturi are fluent reasoners despite the heavy accent. Plato is smart - your level of widely read plus traveled. Of course your theory of right vs left brain is faux pax - real genius is comprehensive utility of faculties and is not exclusive of left or right celebral hemisphere. Newton or Einstein excessively unleashed scientific prowess enough to redeem the socioemotional incoherence. Ndii or Miguna is partial brainpower but not nearly enough to suppress the toxic persona. Any successful venture requires wholesome left-right ability - Mobutu or Raila - while Sonko has nothing under the clown outfit. Legendary Elon Musk stutters and narcissist but make up with severe engineering and vision. That the basis of Plato et al anti-Musk tantrums - he does easy peasy what many hoi polloi call scifi.

In short Pundit, lingustic inability is not proof of genius but the opposite - average. Which is something cause most folks are quite stupid. Plato attempt to reason authentically without empirical knowledge or experience - very grammatically hopeless of course. Noway is intellectual lightweight ala Kalonzo Musyoka.

What nonsense is this. Left-brained people are analytical, mathematical, scientist - right-brained people are creative, artistics, lawyers etc. Genius exist in all fields. Yes some people have both brains working well - but most people are either left-handed or right handed or brained.

I am 42 years..my mum was a teacher and literature lover. She taught me all this historical stuff and narrated to me kenyatta era shenanigans..I still consult with her on historical and current events..we used to have long talks on issues and debates..my dad provided a lot of reading material in terms of newspapers and political magazines..at age 8 I was, attending political campaigns on my own..I was active in 1983 campaigns so my passion is what gives me this knowledge

So 1983 you were what - 5?? That would be real passion for politics if true. But I suspect you're at least late 50s - your narrations are of first person vivancy or vivacity. Poignant even.  Vivid tales from the 60s and 70s. You can contrast with Pundit's factual, dry, impersonal crammed library stories. Pundit is informative; Plato is entertaining.

Yes..it was very entertaining my mum would and siblings would go to church. I was agnostic from early age so I would stay home and then in the afternoon go for rallies at the shopping center..kanu used to have very organized campaigns..candidates would debate in the last week before elections..the subchief would moderate the debate..they each got about 15 minutes of speech and crowd would ask questions ..it was bananas seeing this as a kid

Yes, it was called platform. Those days are gone. Now everyone does their thing. Those were real opportunities to produce real leaders.

I am now being labeled as a Kalenjin hater? Nothing can be further from the truth, like Trump says, I have not a single hatred bone in my body and also am the least tribal person you have ever met. Trumpism aside, I have one vote, mine is going to go to the candidate who will present a grand vision never seen before aka Kagame. I am looking for ways we can escape from moism, everyone begging for scraps from the same thieves we have been recycling. Ruto and Uhuru had their chance, they squandered it. Uhuru is going home and Ruto should follow him there, they were together shamelessly inaugurating those crickety bridges, switching lights in dinky huts, cancer prevention wheelbarrows, stealing like has never seen before etc Kibaki and Ndemo gave us fiber cable, how many jobs have been created by that? I am looking for someone who can gives us the next big thing, thinking outside the box. At a smaller scale I saw gov Mutua give us a little glimpse, there is a little bit of showmanship and self promotion in it but in between there you can find some outside the box vision. Compare to gov of Nairobi, Gucci suits, shrunken head. This election should not be about tribes, if an Ogiek out there thinks they have a grand vision? Present it and let us be the judge. Also I was not touched by pev in any way, I was here in the USA and most of my family is tucked in the middle of Kiambu.

Spare us these tortured arguments. We know you. You're now emerging from the woods with long theories. Kenyans will decide their PORK. You concentrate on Trump there in the slums of Boston.
