It’s also used by deceptive people who disguise their skill to deceive less skilled players in a game like snooker and then take all their money. Kenyans have misused this term for years, they equate it to thieving. If what Ruto has achieved has come through hustling, then even the old man Kenyatta was the original hustler. Jaramogi was also actually more of a hustler in the real meaning of the term cause he achieved a lot outside of the government. Raila is biggest hustler of them all, he has been detained, tortured and is still one of the richest Kenyans out there. I know people who hustled through life, my father used to tell us stories of actual hustlers, never benefited from the govt in any way yet died a billionaire. If you lived around limuru in the 70s, there is this guy who owned a fleet of lorries called turudi mashabani, i grew up wanting to be that guy. He started by selling rabbits on the roadside and died a billionaire, never in govt or politics, honest decent man. There are many examples like that in my area so people like Ruto or lets say Matiba who started suckling the govt at a very early age to me are not real hustlers. It’s time for a person who has hustled for freedom in Kenya to be given a chance. Luos have suffered a lot for this country of idiots. If they eat, so be it, it’s their time. My wife who is completely apolitical told me the other day that it’s time for either a Kamba or a Luo to lead. I mentioned even mudavadi as a compromise and she was fine with it.
