We are still here, just got tired of the unending obsession with Ruto, Raila, Uhuru big personality bullshit. I now study the Kenyan obsession with these type of politics like an experiment, is there some deficiency in the way Kenyans think. It’s mind boggling, you interact with the rest of the world, Nigerians, Ethiopians etc it’s night and day. Our politics have done a lot of damage that will take years to reverse, I hope future generations will have a different mindset. These days if I go into a gathering of Kenyans and they start with this nonsense, my time there becomes very limited. Before COVID-19, I went to one of these Kenyan things, I thought there was going to erupt a mini PEV because of idiots arguing about Ruto, Raila and Uhuru, I quickly made exit. How much time do Kenyans actually spend stuck on politics as opposed to other things in life. I find it unfunny and sad. There is corruption and theft everywhere, deaths from disease, sewage and garbage everywhere, teen pregnancies, poor roads, horrid death mill hospitals and Kenyans still obsessed with baba na mama big man politics. This does not mean that I do not care who leads Kenya next, it’s the reality of the world I find myself and also there is always that glimmer of hope that the next president can do better. Kibaki did his best after Moi.
