2-brain cell can never really understand me. My argument is simple. Corruption is only the MAIN issue if it stops economic growth like the Moi era. But if the economy somehow grows - then corruption is just but one of the many problems. Everyone has the main issues that they think is messing the country...if you give me a corrupt Ruto who will get stuff done..build roads, dams, sgrs..I will not mind the 10% they steal. If they steal more than 10% - the economy will tank soon.
Corruption - when it becomes grand looting - is a big problem. But if folks keep to skimming 10% then it's still a problem but we can survive.
I have never supported any corruption. But when I admit that Ruto is corrupt and supports him - I am not supporting corruption - I am supporting Ruto (who has many more attributes beyond corruption). The same is true for 99% of our political class
Raila is VERY VERY CORRUPT. But that is the least of my concern. My concern about his candidate is the ability to steer the country forward when he has engaged the reverse gear. He has the ability to destabilize the country and even cause a civil war.
We rather keep our corrupt kenya than go to South Sudan or Somalia way.Pundit preached the gospel of corruption having nothing to do with the economy and now turns round to condemn the rampant corruption under the Jubilee regime, just because his man William arap Ruto is no longer part of the looting class.
Of course we all know the Kenyatta family is looting the economy dry since 2007, but it is through the coalition with URP that the fortunes for the royal family have now turned so rosy. By the time we are finished with Uhuru, his bank NCBA will be the 2nd biggest bank in Kenya.
