Rtd Major General Ikenye Chair Nairobi Water

The Mwafrika Generals - what are their achievements? All those years and then board chairs??

Ia m divided on this. There is no need to have highly qualified generals in the barracks scratching balls while we suffer fools in public service, yet the politicisation once they are on the streets you never know where it ends in a volatile atmosphere as the one we are in.

Seems most of them are totally pacified and their backgrounds are thoroughly checked - total homeguards who can't raise a finger.
Also how their colleagues were dealt with in 82 could have kept them in check  for this long.

The media lock out also means they do not get to taste popularity though the way Badi is walking around and parading photos on Facebook as you note it can end up here.

Here Uhuru is a disaster. He believes the military is more disciplined and corruption free than the public service. Very big lie. The Kenyan military has since the days of Arap Moi become just as corrupt as the Kenyan public service.
Most of the generals are multi-millionaires despite having no taps to receive bribes like the Kenya Police. DOD is a state within a state. Even the Auditor General is not allowed to look into the books. Another good example is Somalia war. KDF officiers deeply implicated in export of makaa with the help of Al Shabaab. When it comes to cash, even warring parties forget their hate for each other.
My take is Uhuru believes the discipline he lacks is in the military.

Yes discipline maybe but corrupt - very. We should avoid militarization because next they will get the excuse to overthrow civilian gov if we were to experience small upheaval. If they can run Nairobi County - then they can run the country.
