Yeah Meru are viewed in Kikuyu as insular and unreasonable people. As matter of fact back the 70s Merus worked as farmhands in Kiambu. They started tiffs with local men usally fighting for women and they got kicked out of Kiambu. I think Meru Golden years are way past. Kibaki DP got a lot of support in Meru but in the present Kenya where coalition building is the new way forward Merus will continue to be relegated to minor roles in the coalitions.
