International trade deals will be a thing of the past in a post corona world.

Globalization is in retreat, Trump started protectionism the rest of the world will finish it.

Africans will be the only ones importing because they are lazy and incompetent to make stuff; they import virtually everything foods, toothpicks, and other trinkets they could easily produce in their own countries while the rest of the capable countries prioritize home industries and their woke consumers boycott foreign products.

It will be a less prosperous world but one that is less fragile and better in many respects.

Interesting. I don't think you can put the genie back in the bottle. The world will change for the better - not the worst. What is very obvious is the need to seriously reform and fund WHO - and gives them teeth - to deal with diseases. Countries now need to understand and fund disease control globally. There is urgent need to throw serious MONEY IN VIRUS.

Majority of sane leadership will win.

I think the world has seen Trump's damages and are willing to come together for humanity's existence. Europe and China will  lead, but Trump will likely try something to break them. We are our own existential threat.

Precisely. Leadership will emerge. Germany seems to have handled this sh.iet like Bosses. To have 7,000 deads while US is going for 100k is a testament to the German robust healthcare system.

I think it boils down to response.  Angela Merkel, a Phd in quantum chemistry, had a very different response from Trump(Bsc Econ? reality TV star) who thinks he can talk his way out of everything.  South Korea also didn't screw around.

It looks set to get worse than the 100k.  The US is basically rudderless during this crisis, so the idea that it can provide useful leadership to the world is laughable.  What makes it worse in the US is that any resources proposed towards the crisis are bottlenecked until Republicans can give their corporate donors their pound of flesh.  It's capitalism run amok.

I'll bet you have not seen the worst yet. once it starts hitting rural states, then you'll see carnage. Currently, most deny that its in their neighborhood. A false sense of security. Also,  Most of the residents have pre-existing conditions, so its gonna hit hard. Think of it like an uninvited guest who forces his way in and refuses to leave until he is finished all the food. It'll hit and kill all members of the same family leaving only young ones who have to be cared for till 18.
