Sonko on CNN

Nairobi, Kenya (CNN)Recipients of Nairobi politician Mike Sonko's Covid-19 care packages can expect to receive the typical food staples except for one item -- alcohol.

Sonko, the governor of the Kenyan capital city, Nairobi, confirmed in a media briefing on Tuesday that his care packages include a few small bottles of the cognac, Hennessy.
The governor justified the inclusion of alcohol as "throat sanitizer."
"I think from the research conducted by the World Health Organization and various organizations, it has been believed that alcohol plays a major role in killing the coronavirus," Sonko said in a video.

He can be excused. The man has a lot of free time since now he is the governor without portfolio of Nairobi.

He is still trying to cling to some functions.

Sonko is 100 times better than Trump who is proposing zapping your innards with UV

Quote
US President Donald Trump has been lambasted by the medical community after suggesting research into whether coronavirus might be treated by injecting disinfectant into the body.
He also appeared to propose irradiating patients' bodies with UV light, an idea dismissed by a doctor at the briefing.
Another of his officials had moments earlier said sunlight and disinfectant were known to kill the infection.
Disinfectants are hazardous substances and can be poisonous if ingested.
Even external exposure can be dangerous to the skin, eyes and respiratory system.

What did President Trump say?

During Thursday's White House coronavirus task force briefing, an official presented the results of US government research that indicated coronavirus appeared to weaken more quickly when exposed to sunlight and heat.
The study also showed bleach could kill the virus in saliva or respiratory fluids within five minutes and isopropyl alcohol could kill it even more quickly.

When did suggesting research become a bad thing?? The medical practitioners cartel should be open to ideas. They are like lost dictators - shutting anybody yet they don't have a solution. Citing protocols after protocols is nonsense when people are living on the edge. AFter all, what they are doing is trail and error.

They were jumping all over about chloroquine, now it has been proven to be effective in certain cases. Abrasive politicians like Sonko and Trump are a good thing for insulated ivory tower professionals, lobbyists and technocrats who are rarely harmed by their fuck ups.

The man is not suggesting a special new breed of diet, vegetable, anti-oxidant etc.  No.  He is suggesting injecting bleach.  You think that is worth listening to?

The big pharma and its contractor doctors is worried that attempts to find a cure for covid 19 will expose so many of their con games.

When you read the side effects of some of these drugs in the market you get disinfectants are child play. The drugs people are taking already are poison as long as it is at a crazy profit- reason why pharma is only booming sector.

To me the layman argument being pushed by Trump is - if it is so easy to break down the virus on skin surface with basic soap and water. Why does is it become so hard to break it up when inside the body? Is it the hydrochloric acid? Is it chloroquine? These are basic solutions as a result of logical questions but doctors want us to believe it is all about Gates vaccines 10 years to come.

There are some things a hillbilly can't understand and it's a waste of time trying to engage them.  They fall in a category of people that occasionally need to be saved from themselves.  I say this as a person who shares a healthy skepticism of the current dominant virus=sickness model and the idea that certain things should only be left to the "experts".  I can just imagine them all over the country injecting themselves with soapy water.  Does someone really need to explain why this is crazy?
