Coronavirus has arrived in Kenya, Christ help us.

Africa should've banned travel from Europe and the Americas two weeks ago: All 96 cases on the continent came here not from China but these two.

Corona virus is in Kenya. Too late to do anything about it. Now we have to face the consequences. Best suspend all that BBI upuzi with immediate effect.

People. Dont panic. The virus appears to cause havoc only in cold weather regions. This are isolated and may not multiply to cause havoc

I tend to agree with this.  Conditions are less than optimal in Africa.

How are they still letting people come in? Stay in Europe! We don't want your virus.

This virus belongs to the common cold family, and it spreads faster with colder weather. So, you're good till July.

Is everyone ok?

It's been a nightmare here in Oz. Although I'm grateful my local supermarket is so tucked away and so huge that there's plenty of toilet paper and other amenities.

I just bulk ordered Cutan foam sanitisers... supposed to be top of the line. People are getting infected around me it feels so surreal. Restaurants and shops are empty, people working from home. I get the feeling this is going to be the norm.

Would it be worthwhile to invest in doomsday prepping?

Too late. Hysteria has taken over. With only 3 confirmed cases, Schools have been closed and foreign travels and entry restricted. Nairobi middle class and above are buying food and sanitizers and disinfectant in bulk. I pointed to one woman that it would not make sense to clean all pieces of Dettol disinfectant from supermarket shelves and yet her neighbours and surroundings have none. It simply makes no sense as it takes a village and more to stop, prevent and contain virus.

But full panic mode is already setting in.

We are mad at the govt for not "panicking" two weeks ago before we had a single case and you guys are complaining about what they are doing now? We can't afford to wait till we reach Italian levels before panicking. Our health care system is virtually nonexistent. This is not a joke.
