Yep. He was afraid Kabila and Kagame wanted to finish him. Guerillas linked to Kagame coup were dropping like flies. Yebei style. This nugu is half Tutsi and knows some RPF bloody secrets. He is safer in ICC.

I hope he rots in hell. the stories I've read are horrific. He was fingered as a direct rapist himself - not just as a commander with responsibility.

Yes, he gave himself in to save his "dear" life. As a warlord he never spared the lives of very many people. They should have first cut off his balls before handing him over to the ICC.

I remember seeing a hbo documentary on rapes by these sadists it left me in tears. These murderous thugs should be killed. I still do not get it that Hutus that committed genocide are still perched on eastern Zaire waiting kagame to die to go back to finish their job

Ntaganda is half Tutsi, half Congolese. Not Hutu. He was RPF so Kagame needs him dead to erase the evidence of RPF role in 94 and Eastern Congo genocides. Kagame is suspicious of sealed ICC warrant for his arrest so does not plan to cede power and lose diplomatic immunity until all witnesses are gone. Once Kabila Sr dislodged Mobutu, he fell out with Rwanda and Uganda - so Kagame sent Ntaganda and Bemba to kick him out. They assassinated the man and the son took over. The rest is mayhem and history.

How did I miss this?  The guy who turned himself in to escape Kagame retribution.  Kagame kills friend and foe for any sort of mop up.

That happens everywhere and even in Kenya after 2007 the likes of Meshack Yibei and George Thuo paid the highest price for their roles in the PEV and even Maina Njenga almost paid the highest price but fate saved him.

He ran like a ostrich. I think his forces were losing ground and realized he may be captured. So he went quite only to reappear at Hague. Same fate befell Charles Taylor niajas ate his money and when icc came calling the asked him to leave at the break 9f dawn to cameroun. He was arrested in the next r9adblock

Yabbut, Kagame operates on the extreme end of this phenomenon.  There is virtually no credible opponent left inside Rwanda that is neither dead nor in prison.  And he does not even respect international borders when going after them.

Remember the former Rwandan general, Kayumba Nyamwasa was shot and wounded in South Africa? The man grew up with Kagame in the bush and helped fight the Hutu warlords. They ended up splitting ways and the man almost paid with his dear life.
