Yes this is horrible, state capture. This is worse than Ruto's corruption, kenyatta family has captured the state to further their business interest. They own part of SGR management company, tried to get JKI, the nefarious dairy bills etc.

That is why when I hear people talk about Ruto being more corrupt I laugh. Uhuru is eating kenya with an even bigger spoon. Ruto takes 10% like a ceasar everywhere....but Uhuru goes for big ticket stuff.

Phase 2B of SGR - from Narok to Kisumu - 250km - will cost - 3.7 billion dollars. Uganda Malaba-Kampala - same distance - Museveni has narrowed it down to 2.1B. In short Uhuru is probably looking for 1B dollars cut or something that ridiculous here.

I think rumors are he got 10% cut from SGR - after making a deal with Chinese - so here - are looking at Uhuru making 100B kshs from SGR.

It's either Raila or Ruto - so Mt Kenya are in cul de sac. The right-thinking GEMA people know Ruto is the better deal. The others who haven't accepted this reality - think they can somehow use Raila to extend mt Kenya rule. The problem is HOW? When they realize it's impossible - they will rush to Ruto demanding 50-50.

The Kenyatta's have been stealing for years and people know about it.  Ruto tried to catch-up too fast and then what he stole got to his head and he started plotting how to get rid of the Kenyatta's, the Moi's and the Odinga's and create his own dynasty.  Its well established that when one is  going  after the king, one has to kill the king or one might as well commit suicide.  Ruto  telegraphed his plans too early by stealing too much and literally announcing  his plans to bring down the dynasties too early. In so doing, he became the common enemy and drove the dynasties into each others arms. Ouru and Raila have a juggernaut on the kikuyu and luo peasants/proletariat and there is no way Ruto is advancing to power by fighting both men openly. He needs to accept that by stealing too much- way too much than he needs-quickly and blatantly , he telegraphed his ambitions and therefore sealed his downfall.

After being DPORK for two terms - there is only one way for Ruto to go from here. To give his best shot at PORK. He cannot camouflage his ambition for the top job anymore. The problem Uhuru faces is simple - TERM LIMIT. The innovation around it would be going for Executive PMship under Raila presidency. That would be insane. That would also entail a referendum.Anyway is Ruto giving his best shot...yes..because we just 2yrs to go...and he is already ahead of the game. He has run circles around Raila and Uhuru - and has insane popularity in the country right now. Jubilee have refused to buy into the handshake.

It's amazing that the tables are now turned and I am the one lecturing you about "real politic". What is the "right thinking GEMA". The right thinking GEMA are those who "toe the lane" for their own political survival in the region.  The so called "right thinking" and the "wrong thinking" lanes are being shaped right now. Tangatanga is being branded as the "wrong thinking" and "Kielewekwe" as the right thinking. It takes a lot of time, propaganda, persuasion, arm twisting, buying and money to shape these political thinking lanes. Ruto has been losing this war steadily and astoundingly before our eyes. This is definitely NOT where Ruto imagined he would be not too long ago and I am sure he would admit that his original game plan was thrown out of the window along time ago. After the handshake he tried to put a brave face but even that is not realistic anymore. Right now what Ruto needs is how to survive this Tsunami and live to fight another day as Raila has done several times.

The grave yard is filled with Deputy/Vice presidents who never assumed the presidency. Ouru recognizes term limits as his problem and I am sure he is working on how to go around it. I think Ruto's problem to ascend to power without Ouru's blessings is much bigger than Ouru's problem going around term limits. The difference is that one has power and one does not. Real politic.

Pundit and the likes. Now they are trying to tell us that they are surprised. Kenyatta family is a mafia and only knows money as the only moral ground. Nothing new. Ruto will try play catch up. Here is where the problems will start.

Maybe I missed the big news - as far as it goes - Ruto is still sitting pretty - the cold shadow war is more smoke and mirrors. First let us wait for BBI and the referendum. Once you pass that hurdle - then we can start getting worried. Ruto is waiting for BBI in parliament - where it will be consigned to the dustbin. Then what for Raila :)

Uhuru power is nothing like Moi or Kenyatta. The man is hapless and has lost control of parliament - and Ruto runs half the gov. Now the hurdle he faces is twice hard. Ruto just need to win 2022 election. Raila and Uhuru - assuming they are one - have to win two elections - they have to win the referendum and then national election.

Of course nothing suggests Uhuru is dumb to pursue this Raila make-believe idea.

And the silver lining - Ruto has already won popular support without endorsement from Uhuru. What I imagined - was Ruto struggling to win GEMA with Uhuru relentlessly pushing for his TOSHA. I never imagined Ruto winning popular support without Uhuru....so the reverse psychology has worked.

I am not suprised. But I am voting Ruto like I voted Uhuru and Sonko...because we are looking for the better leader...out of a group of thieves. I am in transport business - if I fired my drivers who are thieves - I won't have anyone to work with. You find the honest ones are normally lazy & lack ambition so you business never thrives.
