Own goal... you been bragging here that Ruto is unassailable... where is the man or woman that will take on the Mighty Samoei? you ask. Well, as can be seen the master schemer is anything but.

I can run a search of your hubris if you prefer it. :D

As long as Raila is Ruto main rival; We are good. We are also good because Raila Odinga will never give it up for anyone else. So in short - Ruto sleep walking to SH.

Pundit, we have more than 3 years to go till 2022. This race is a marathon and will be decided in the 41st km. Hold your breath and as long as Uhuru has the state machinery in his hands, the race is for Ruto to loose.

You actually think Uhuru will back Raila :) :) some things are too obvious. It won't happen. Raila is being used here. If Uhuru wants to continue - he will continue with Ruto.

Who ever Uhuru backs is his and not my problem. I do not need to side with him. All I want is Uhuru to pack his bags and leave Kenyans to dertermine their own destiny after 2022. In best case he should take his deputy with him. The two have failed Kenyans in their reign since 2013.

Jubilee did well until now when there is confusion. Uhuru is under enormous pressure from Jubilee to cut off the handshake. That is where we are now....obviously Raila is being used...but Kenya will be decide.

It becomes everybody's problem though.  The idea that there is democracy at a national level in Kenya is a joke.  Lets not allow to time to erase the fact that the servers happened.

The handshake and falling out with Uhuru has really complicated matters for the hustler. Incumbency alone is a big rungu before you factor the servers. Pundit is putting on a brave face but knows his boy has a mountain to climb.

Raila is being used - is a convenient line for Ruto crew. Many many real signs of Uhuru sabotaging Ruto are clear as daylight. It bears repeating: Matiang'i Chief Minister, kieleweke Uhuru parrots shaming Ruto, CCs and cops snubbing Ruto meetings, security withdrawn, Waititu problems, anti-graft witch-hunt, 50-50... endless list take your pick. When these OBJECTS move we will all see it in the news. Even spin requires intelligence :D

The fallout between Uhuru and ruto is complete. Right now ruto is fighting very well. He is keeping Uhuru on defense in central but an incumbent president is Africa has lots of leverage. Kibaki made ruto and uhuru all8ance possible. He tried to backpedal but it was too late. Ruto will beat Uhuru coz Uhuru is lazy. However it will be hell for ruto to govern effectively

Yep, it's complicated.  And certainly the hustler will have to overcome machinery if he is to get anywhere.  I am yet to see him shake anything up without machinery or baba's coattails.

The worst part is that he NEEDS Gema to beat Raila. This makes it impossible to fight Uhuru. So basically he is receiving body blows with his arms tied in the back. I disagree with Pundit that the hustler is holding punches - he has no punches to hold. It's more like the elephant balancing on a ball.

Ruto's position :D Handshake is the breeze. This was Raila 2009-12 conundrum. Pundit should tighten his seatbelt - it will be painful to watch as his hero's desperation grows.

Raila being used is a sleeping pill for Ruto die hards. Let sleeping dogs lie.  Whomever thought things could turn like this for Ruto-even I could not predict this.

Exactly, Gave up on elective democracy at last and I feel better. Elective democracy has been irreparably compromised both in fledgling and established democracies and can no longer be the best method to govern human beings. Just like human beings have messed up the environment, they have compromised elections.  It is no longer  the best way to choose competent leaders anyway. Its not even working for Americans if it allows for someone like Trump to win and become president. I think we can still preserve all the values that we love about democracy but use a different method to pick leaders who will uphold those principles.  If we can appoint competent judges through meritocracy and  thorough vetting, I do not see why when it comes to choosing legislatures and the chief executive we are hopelessly stuck with this election thing which only produce thieves and incompetent leaders.  No wonder China is cruising past all the old western democracies with a population of 1.5 Billion and growing.

Somebody senior here at nipate predicted Uhuru would be taking long vacations in Hawaii so Ruto can play Acting President. I'm not naming names.  :D

Why is Uhuru frustrated now..none of his schemes is working and gov is also grinding to halt.Matiangi failed before it got into mid-air because other ministers simply ignored him.Ruto still out there launching projects and touring the country.Anti graft narrative failed.Mps have no time for Uhuru just like has no time for them...so they've rejected cabinet decisions like handing KQ a jkia lifetlline.Uhuru obviously is entertaining the horrible thought of extending his term but it won't happen. He will have to be content with being Jubilee party leader.

Pundit says ....
"
Jubilee did well until now when there is confusion."
....and...
" If Uhuru wants to continue - he will continue with Ruto."

then goes on to say ...

"Uhuru obviously is entertaining the horrible thought of extending his term but it won't happen. He will have to be content with being Jubilee party leader."

This sounds contradictory to me, abit more like desperation.  But inasmuch as i support neither political  camp, i must say ruto is smart ( and i hate to admit it). He has managed to put pull the rag under uhuru's feet in central. I have worked in muranga and thika for the last couple of months and i can say very few want to hear uhuru name being mentioned. Come to ilovi and the narrative is the same in luthuli, river road and grogon areas. A good number of them keep mentioning ruto here and there due to his "launching of projects " all over central ( which we all know wont take off). Though i still doubt if this will translate into meaningful votes for ruto.
Uhuru has state machinery and still wonder if he has the balls to unleash the same on ruto..... only time will tell. But im glad these two clowns are on each others necks. Very interesting for us spectators. I pray the shadow boxing ceases and they go out full scale on each other and unleash all the skeletons in their respective closets

Nothing I say is contradictory. Uhuru is given a chance obviously will want to rule forever. Ruto and other ambitious politician that are waiting for their chance - business is to stop that from happening - and offer Uhuru a safe landing ground. Uhuru can continue being somewhat powerful under Jubilee as it's supreme leader. He also can try to go through mud & mess of trying to extend his rule as executive PM or something that stupid. I believe those are the choices Uhuru has to make. He has not declared war on Ruto or Jubilee. It's more cold war. USSR and US never went nuclear. UhuRuto may not go nuclear because it's a mutually assured destruction.
