The problem with the MOASS is that it is taken from either past election or recent utterances and Ruto funeral or church attendance where he's donating to build existing churches. Even a fool can tell they were sniffing the dosh. The Aisha Jumwa treatment has sent shockwaves (not even Raila could help and Ruto has abandoned the tirades). Who would have imagined Maina Kamanda was going to make so much noise about "mwizi wa kuku" so publicly? You keep yapping about Ruto sleepwalking to SH under the Uhuruto 2022 banner but the dynamics change every day. Do not underestimate the effect of the Uhuru ally remark on Jubilee MPs. Even the normally loudmouthed Duale begged for ceasefire.

Pundit conflates by not starting with the default - where was Ruto on March 8th, 2018? - 100% Jubilee, Uhuru and GEMA support. He was sleepwalking to SH. So the heart of the matter is Ruto is on a downward spiral a whole 3 years to the elections - while arch enemy Raila has risen again. The only poll we have is Ruto leading at 36% as the most corrupt. It's probably 70% landslide now.

Those numbers look good on paper but the truth of the matter politicians are fickle. Most will switch alliance in a new York minute just based on a phone call from statehouse. Ruto path is through the people, he can pull a Samson move and shake the temple pillars and watch the dynasty elite scatter.  What value does Rotich add to Ruto campaign? Throw the bugger under the bus

There is really nothing much that has changed - Ruto has lost "maina kamandas" and has gained "Aisha Jumwas" - while Uhuru is playing Raila - Ruto is ensnaring Wetangula & such.  At end of the day - UhuRuto - will bring home all the cows.

I don't think Rotich has ever been Ruto man. He isn't a Charles Keter or Chelugui.

Rotich was never a Ruto man. He is Uhuru's drinking buddy back from those days when Uhuru tried playing Finance minister.

Finance is so sensitive for Uhuru to hand it over to Ruto - as long as Rotich was a Kalenjin - Ruto would score a brownie point and that is all that mattered.

Rotich is cooked. His best bet is to go and grab the free Elgeyo Marakwet Governorship.

How do you determine an MP's allegiance? The only time this was put to the test was during the VAT bill - increase was very unpopular with Kenyans - when Ruto held night meetings to sabotage GoK. Raila had to whip ODM same as Wiper and ANC. Why did Ruto lose with 57%? And don't tell us he has decided to "respect" Uhuru - that's a white face-saving lie.

Another instance is Rotich censure motion - when bribes were dished out in the loos - why do that with a whooping 57%? Common sense is that Ruto's liberal utility of bribery to MPs, churches and harambees means his "support" is anything but genuine. These are mercenaries - why bribe a loyal supporter?

I thought Energizer or whoever methodology is clear - He has used PUBLIC expression of support for Ruto. Why would Ruto oppose VAT bill - VAT bill was just unpopular on it's own.Uhuru has to slash it to 8% - selling petrol for 130shs is not very popular even if you're Raila diehard.VAT bill was actually defeated - but Duale & Speaker - forcefully enacted it.

I caught that - methodology - mine is patel's question on "loyalty". Voting at crunch time in the chamber is what counts - not public pronouncements or declarations. The MOAS is false - Ruto has no majority or Uhuru would be in the sauce.
