Education ministry abandons laptop project for computer labs
« on: February 25, 2019, 10:09:34 AM »
Another Jubilee failed project. Anyway it was designed to fail from day one. Some fellows ate a lot of money and that was the main aim of this project.
Pundit, what do you have to say here?

Corruption and incompetence has delayed a will happen project.Chinese technology is making it cheaper and cheaper - parents  individual schools and young techies need to implement this using common sense/Mpesa approach .

Computer labs? Haiya!!
Kenya just go for the fantastic. And silly. Even across Nairobi City government schools and county schools are terrible shape of disrepair, no books, no furniture, no security, no teachers, etc. And then billions go into some computer labs!!

Do government officials who make these policies ever travel across the country for firsthand experience?
Until Kenya get the basic right, then it shall always be waiting funds.

Other than the eating(which I don't dispute), laptop per child just sounds more sexy than computer labs(or access).  The so-called labs should be an extension of what is ideally a library.  The idea is to expose more kids to interactive learning opportunities.

The government should first make sure all primary schools have well stocked libraries. This computer lab is just another high sounding project which will collapse.
Somebody should get the basics right!

Ask Matiang'i and Mucheru... Pundit and Ruto defected to the opposition. This is Uhuru's TNA item 1.

Precisely. Jubilee 2.0 - is Uhuru - the drunken sailor can't find his bottoms. SGR ended in maize plantation. What legacy apart from fake handshake and BBI will he take home? Jubilee Mps should go rogue on him - because he is taking them home - they won't have nothing to say in 2022

Rigging elections is the easy part governing and executing on big projects is a whole different ball game. Jubilee 1.0 or 2.0 is all the same animal, criminal enterprise and all those who supported jubilee are kriminos.
