Ruto gives up and is now supporting Referendum

Pundit is wrong a lot these days.  He just recently predicted referendum DOA. The days of tyranny of numbers and MOAS are over. It only lasted 5 years but RV Pundit swears his political predictions are always 100% on the money.

People who are not bright rarely need more than 5 years before they are exposed. RV Pundit has sunk to the same level like his swearing buddy below:

Are these RV MPs defying Ruto or sending feelers on the referendum? He has stated over and over that he does not want a PM. https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2018/10/11/two-rift-mps-draft-bills-to-create-strong-prime-ministers-position_c1832637

Great move by Ruto. He was boxing himself early in the game. Essentially the debate will lead to nowhere.

Look like the constitution review will not be happening soon. Uhuru knows what a divisive constitutional referendum will do the country and it's economy. Don't see it happening anytime soon. Not in 2019 - gov will spend nearly 20B on Census 2019 -  then 2020 we have boundary reviews - then 2021 is only year to get anything done - before we go full election mode starting January of 2022 and ending possibly Dec 2022 - if we get into another stalemate. If we were to attempt to change constitution in 2021 - then we will have 2 yrs of very divisive if not violent campaigns - simply not happening.

In short - there is no time for referendum. Those in Jubilee who were shouting about it were trying to justify increasing unpopular taxes on kenya and now it's back to governing or stealing.

Pundit I thought all those major questions were the gist of the referendum. Boundaries are also part of it. Ruto stand is vague like how he supports war on corruption knowing he may be a victim.

Which major questions - census has to happen in 2019 - that is only thing happening - it will take 3 months of preparation and lots of money - based on census results - IEBC will go into full blow boundary reviews - and then in 2021 - Uhuru want to get some stuff done - 2022 is election - with nomination happening 1st Q and election 2nd Q - court cases 3rd Q - and another election 4th Q.

The process of having a referendum is not easy - As long as Uhuru has not pronounced himself on referendum - WSR has really nothing to worry about it. Moses Kuria always bring the Punguza Mzigo as counter to Raila.

Consitution cannot be changed radically easily. We need another war.

There's a war going on now - on corruption and your man is squarely in the middle of it. If Uhuru is yet to pronounce himself on the referendum then why is your man panicking? He has been against, neutral, for, against-for, for-against...... Trying to get his boss to pronounce himself but to no avail. But if you read between the lines you can see Uhuru pronouncing himself. For example by increasing taxes to make Kenyans oppose bloated government. That is a big tick for referendum if you ask me. And it makes the game very tricky for your man. If he supports bloated current government he's in a tight spot. If he supports referendum he shoots himself in the foot. Caught between a rock and a hard place.

We are talking real war. Something akin to 2007-2008. That you won't know unless it hit you. If Uhuru was to abandon Ruto - there will be real war. Real war where lots of bloods is shed and property destroyed. The fake outcry about taxes is not real war. The fake cries by election looser is not war.

Nobody even remembers anymore that Ruto was Ouru's heir apparent. The betrayal looked so bad not too long a ago but its amazing how quickly people come to accept that Ouru does not have to honor his pledge to Ruto and Kikuyus are now very comfortable saying that they do not  owe Ruto anything. In another year, people will literally roll over laughing on the suggestion that  "Ruto is goin to succeed Ouru".  A day in politics is surely equal a dog year.

Seems only thing Ruto has to worry on his 2022 path is health. Either he slows down given the health rumours or the stress is eating at his weight. He is now one of the most 'physically fit' African over 40 years - I am amazed these day at obesity even among hawkers - it is scary. Young women are just way off due to chips and soda.
