DPP Noordin Sets Kenya Power on Fire
« on: July 14, 2018, 02:13:52 PM »
The entire current and former top management arrested with more still to be arrested.

Uhuru may actually fo what many people before him failed. I still urge him to cause Gichuru and Okemo to materialize in Jersey and I will start planning to think about plans to begin forgiving him for some of his lighter crimes.

Seem it Ben Chumo - former MD - whom Uhuru appointed recently to SRC. Look like Uhuru this time round is not joking with small man corruption.
The 10 top managers accused of irregularly supplying tenders include; CEO Ken Tarus who was then General Manager, Finance, Peter Mungai Kinuthia (General Manager Business Strategy), Joshua Mutua (General Manager Commercial Services) and Abubakar Swaleh (General Manager Human Resource and Administration). Others include; Samuel Ndirangu  (General Manager ICT), Stanley Mutwiri (General Manager Infrastucture Development) and John Ombuyi (General Manager Supply Chain)

Institutions heed the signals from "above". Once Uhuru tilted towards limited pursuit of the corrupt, the DPP has acted accordingly. It is upto Uhuru to protect Noordin when the criminals begin to fight back. They usually fight back dirty.

I am okay with limited pursuit - as long as Uhuru men are above board - they don't stop when it touches Uhuru family or friends like it will inevitably - then Noordin & crew will have public support and whoever is planning to fight back will be adviced to instead get a good lawyer.

If he can resist the blow back from this extremely limited foray into the territory of The Corrupt, then I can hold a weak candle in the wind and hope for a second wave against the lower ranks of Big Corruption. This is like a stone aimed at a bulletproof glass but lands several meters short.

I thought Tarus knows better than to run and eventually get humiliated? He can obtain bail.

Although the whole idea of arresting people on fridays knowing they wont have access to courts until monday has dubious credibility and needs to be dispensed with.

Noordin should simply ask the police to summon someone and if he does not turn up then get a warrant of arrest. The failure to turn up would make bail impossible to get.

Parliament should amend the law so that any time spent in police custody is deducted from any eventual sentence. That would reduce cases of using remand and arrest as some form of undocumented extra punishment.

Judiciary need to find a way to work during weekend. At least every saturday or sunday the court should be open but limited to bail/bond applications.

Pundit is okay with "small fish" so long as his super corruupt hero goes unscathed. How patriotic!  :o

I would support Uhuru's corruption onslaug even if - nay,  especially if - it consumes Uhurutopia in the flames. He's already PORK serving final term and has nothing to fear from subborteurs. They're not powerful enough to impeach him.

Like Omollo says, any fallout or sticky shit will be sanctified by the gratitude Kenya will have for slaying the graft dragon. Ruto would be the biggest loser and casualty of a serious, successful anti-corruption war.

What do you think of Kenyan leaders. Please be honest and don't be  conceited apologist like Pundit.

Raila Odinga - liberator, reformer
Uhuru Kenyatta - prince, naive
Willima Ruto - hustler, thief
...
