Ruto in Kirinyaga - Siasa Ikome
« on: April 07, 2018, 04:22:13 PM »
How can they achieve no politicking - already all the elected leaders seem lost since the handshake with nothing to show to the mashinani people and a broke Treasury.

No governor except Sonko is able to face their electorate since the handshake. Sonko the makanga is working day and night and has his accounts at CBK having all vampires baying for his blood. In Central Waititu is left with banning alcohol; Kahiga is banning Kikuyu speaking; Wairia is silenced totally, Waiguru is still catwalking and seems will be in long political fight with Kanyotus/Ngirichis; Kimemia is still strugling to pronounce potato and Ol Karau.

Once they are cornered by the people asking for roads, drugs in hospitals, security, power costs, fertilizer, water - the political class will go back to the politics they know best.

Handshake has basically shaken the metaphorical political chessboard.  It is no longer easy to distinguish between foe and friend.

I am not sure if it's the ban of polythene but I was in Nairobi this week and it's definitely cleaner - there are less potholes - I only saw them in parklands - Ojijo road and sorrounding - but everywhere else - seem Nairobi is turning the corner. Obviously he need to fix 1) Water 2) Traffic Jam - to make Nairobi liveable and bearable.
What has he done?

With no big enemy in sight I expect obstacles to start piling on his path. Igathe nonsense seems not have slowed him down- quite an acceleration and a big plus for the gansteristic leadership which has taken root in the past 5 years.

I expect demos over ongoing land reclamation, hawkers relocation and kiosks demonstration but this will be just some bones for the alley cat and evidence for those asking what Sonko is doing. How he navigates the fights coming his way from the likes Karanja Kibicho, Kamanda seniles will be interesting - with Ruto's hurricane and Uhuru dominance, Mt Kenya leaders/remnants are grappling in the dark picking any shadow that comes their way.

The small timers in the entire Mt Kenya are wasting time. Uhuru ndio kusema. Nobody simply has the balls to take on Kenyatta. So I expect Uhuru will decide who deputize Ruto. As regard Sonko...okay the man is a legend...you can't beat an alley cat like him...I see him winning a second term bila wasi wasi.Sonko went in as poor man candidate but has turned out to be quite the "professional" who delivers. There is simply no weapon to fight him. The middle class will now vote for him without shame...while lower class have no other candidate so will stick to Sonko.

Nairobi is collecting more money by sealing the glaring loopholes of the previous regime without harassing traders.

Exactly - Kidero best I think was 12B - Sonko is inching towards 2B per month - so in 20B is possible - and probably more - esp if they can sort out land titles in eastland - most of the money comes from land rates - and there is a lot of unpaid rates due to title issues.
