Prof Njunguna allude to it.

Stagflation amidst crazy public debts. The extraction and shipping of production to pay debts as government expands will break the camel's back.

Data from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) shows the values referred to as agent cash in cash out eased by Sh5.65 billion to Sh1.813 trillion from Sh1.818 trillion in March last year.

This marks the first decline in the first quarter since the banking sector regulator began recording the transactions in 2009.

No respite yet.

Little concern by a government promising heaven.  Fumbling where it matters one year on, they have been unable to import grains.

I agree with this assessment - Nairobi is becoming ghost town like you find in most rural towns - where number of operating shops are 1/4 of the built up shops

Good to see focus on farmers. More investments into agricultural research. Such a shame all African countries are net importers of food probably except Egypt.

Egypt is the biggest worldwide importer of wheat from Russia and Ukraine.

My bad, I for moments been carried away by the figures which keep being thrown around on marvels of Egyptian agriculture kumbe it is all figures.

Seems the military keeps fudging the figures, but can't when it goes down to bread.

I had thought we were about to start turning the corner by August. Seems it is darker days, months and years ahead.

Unga still at 150-250. Fuel is crazy.

The budget largesse by politicians is incitement to hungry masses.

Budget was based on theory rather than facts. That's y the economy is doing badly.
Also eliminating an opposition was a big mistake. Govt without opposition does anything and everything wrong.

This is nuts..I saw the price of Towel double. I had bought a towel at 300 shs in March and in August I paid 650 shs. I liked going to naivas and Carrefour to watch how customers were having to make budget decisions. Most shopping baskets only had the necessities.

One does not need to be an economist to come to this conclusion.

The debate on price of unga persists. Very good it is taking time to discuss cost of living issues even at the null and void NADCO.
