Is NASA bound by Chebukati's directive? Matiangi proposed an October date this morning and Chebukati has taken it. In all the date seems reasonable. NASA is broke and has no Eurobond money. It also doesn't want to be seen as insensitive to parents with kids in school. Besides, it must leverage on the poor image Jubilee/IEBC has painted of itself before it dissipates with time.

I only hope Chebukati is acting independently and is not being told what to do by NIS.  He should have fired Chiloba first before making any decision on the elections so that his decision is seen to be independent.

Too soon how. Election date is 17th - take another 7 days for counting and declaration. 17th is the best possible tuesday that adheres to 60 days rule. Of course Kichapo ingine cha mbwa that will finally silenced raila is coming your way.  24th October would be putting it on the wire...7 days for declaring Uhuru pork   will not allow for NASA to make the concession speech.

Am I hearng right that IEBC ichaweri spare bedroom is seeking an extension of election date? Now there is time to reorganize IEBC and drain the swamp.
