Maraga Has Written Himself Into World History
« on: September 01, 2017, 12:32:57 PM »
This man whom I underestimated has just written himself into World History. He has defied a killer dictator to nullify his election. He was intimidated, threatened, and attempts made to corrupt him.

I had underestimated Justice Philomena Mwilu (as I usually do with women - Robina knows) but she has put me to shame!

I knew that Lenaola is beyond bribery. I have dealt with him personally.

Smokin Wanjala has surprised me.

I have to seriously doubt the "illness" of Ibrahim. There is much to question.

Raila on the way to Uhuru Park.

The judicial system has freed itself from the yoke of the executive which has held them hostage for the last fifty years.

You clearly know Muite history from being FORD-K chair and VP of Jaramogi - and your saw how he conceded to all NASA demands and acted like a fool - leaving  judges with no option except to annul the election.

Ok but let us wait for the full decision.  I do not think his objections would have been sustained anyway. Lawyers pick a theory of a case and they die or live with it.  He picked numbers based on the 2013 precedent.  Orengo and Amolo went with the process again and this time they found a sympathetic ear.  I think Paul tried to attack the process argument too but IEBC botched the process so much that he could not redeem them.

Muite is a good lawyer. The idea he'd deliberately botch his own case especially when he is on the side of the more powerful elements doesnt seem credible to me. Why would he do that? You yourself were sure the court would rule the other way as was I based on my skepticism from last time when the court used every technicality it could find to dodge the obligation to hold IEBC to higher standards. What happened is thst this time round, there was a bench with individuals who for whstever reason decided to care about their PROFESSIONAL REPUTATION above all else.

What turned the tide was Muite waving the white flag . That IEBC had no problem with NASA checking the forms. If he knew the forms had small issues here or there - he wouldn't have done that You client is IEBC - and you defend them - even if they have skletons.Muite like Maina Kia or Ndii or GlobalCitizen(Njamba) are the "mau mau" of GEMA who have huge axes to grind with elite like Kenyatta. Muite in 2013 couldn't countenance Uhuru run and had to just ran for it's sake. It's like Njamba here - getting him to vote for Uhuru is harder than getting Omollo to do the same - Omollo and Kichwa will sign what Raila sing. In fact Muite should really beef up his security because Kenyatta will definitely be coming for him.

Jesus how did the only Kikuyu njoki mlafi vote?

She was very bitterly against.  Even after reading privileged evidence she was sure Uthamaki was duly elected

Great surprise. Getting proven wrong is quite a phenomena for the human spirit.

I had all along thought Maraga was about stability which in our volatile political atmosphere is a synonym for accept and move on just like the funny peace calls despite all sort of the irregularities and illegalities.

The unintended consequences of Maraga's decision will unfold for a long time in the evolution of Kenya and across Africa.

People need to take responsibility the main culprit are those who came up with the rigging scheme. Scok has saved Kenya as we know it the country was on the verge of breaking up to 2 or 3 countries.  Moving forward we should focus on issue based politics

So, contrary to widespread claims, PLO did not finish off the pythagorean thing ...  Maraga certainly appears to have more brass and spine than we thought.   Good.

Pundito you're wrong.
The scrutiny request was a very reasonable. There was no good reason to reject it. Muite had a skunk and he did his best.

Quite did not want to defend a lie.
When he saw the amount of corruption in the system he pulled back and waited.
