Uhuru is only following a tradition we have firmly set and which I being anti capital punishment fully endorse. In Kenya we don't execute. We stopped with kina Ochuka. And since Moi started the tradition by refusing to sign off on them after kina Ochuka, obviously affected by those last executions, no one is going to be the monster who takes them up again. Just imagine a tradition has now been firmly set that presidents don't allow executions, who is going to be the monster who picks up the pen and sends someone to the executioner?
I don't even understand how we kept this in the new constitution. We obviously as a country have shown we dont want capital punishment so why is it in the books?
