Which law will be broken by announcing results ahead of IEBC? We are not France. And if IEBC is not planning to cook anything, they will announce the same figures as everyone else.

France bans the broadcast of opinion polls 24 hours to elections and the release of exit polls before end of polling. It simply makes sense not to release exit polls while some people are voting. If you tell those who have not voted that one of the candidates has won, they naturally feel their vote is meaningless and go back home only to learn the winner had a majority of one vote!

That is the correct thing to do.  The only concern I have is that I have noticed IEBC attempts in courts to depict returning officers as not being quite IEBC.  That is ridiculous of course.
