The momentum is definitely with NASA.  The next two weeks is going to be crucial to both parties because this is when the undecided usually make their move and they usually break for the side with momentum.  It appears that Jubilee is not drinking the RV Pundit Kool-Aid otherwise they will not be campaigning so desperately.  Ouru was just the other day telling folks in Ukambani NOT to vote on tribal lines and to consider his "economic miracle". A week earlier, when he was in Central, he was telling folks to vote on tribal lines.  To their credit, Ouruto are realizing that they cannot rely on Pundits/Ngunyi model of tyranny of  tribal numbers as memorialized in the MOAS.

Now that's how organic campaign rally crowd looks like...no party uniform.  Uhuru will carry this region but the level of poverty and hopelessness in this region is clearly visible.  The whole country is hurting, kikuyu and kalenjin have not been  spared

It all depends on the candidate and not the people.  Ouru usually gets good reception in Nyanza and I do not see why he should not get it this time around.  The problem is WSR, he is too polarizing and his brand of arrogance rubs folks the wrong way.

I should have said  that Ruto is not a very likeable person if you do not agree with him ideologically.  Raila maybe polarizing ideologically  but as a person like him. There is a feeling that he means no harm.  You cannot say that about WSR.

I know crowds don't mean votes but surely a hostile crowd certainly means no votes. Is there really a Rift in the Rift, or it's like the highly disappointing Meru/Mt.Kenya region in 2013?

Baba will get about 10-15% of Kiambu - from the long strip that neigbour nairobi - which has lots of kambas, luhyas and Luo - I mean from Kikuyu -uthiru- Kabete- ruaka all the way to Thika town. Bomet he'll be lucky to get 10% - Isaac himself will get less than 15%.

You have to admit that Rutto is a failed experiment...and he damn knows it too hence vying for Governor. My knowledge of Bomet politics is restricted to what I watch in tv, and I was largely convinced there was some real Rift, but Saturday changed my mind. Isaac Rutto thinks he knows politics; so he ferry people and pay them to his rallies; Bomet will vote Uhuru 90%; Isaac himself will get 15%.Raila is anathema in Kalenjin land -even than 10% I am being generous - maybe Gusii/Luos in tea estate will vote for him and few Isaac diehards. Isaac would have gotten 30% but everytime he says NASA he loses lot more votes.

The reason why the crowd is rowdy when Ouru visits Kiambu and when Raila visits Siaya is because of local down-ticket candidates elbowing each other for recognition by the popular candidate.  Most independents also feel that they need recognition because they are also supporting the presidential candidate.
