This video shows some massive hard granite machined with what seems like very advanced technology.

If the hard granite structures still exist, then this implies that the tools must be hidden somewhere!

I'll look at it later.  However it makes sense that some technologies were lost between intervening epochs.  That happens when societies decline for any number of reasons.

I have heard that from various people, especially professors and some investors selling their wares. Elon Musk says in this era of abundant capital and talent we should go at big problems with all we got, cause we may not be this lucky again for a long time. You know he is focused on solving "existential threats" by making us a "space-faring civilization" and "multi-planetary species". Just in case amaggedon breaks out we should be safe.

It is possible the Egyptian civilization was wiped out as you say.

Egypt was wiped out, actually replaced by Greeks.  But the Roman one was literally wiped out by barbarians.  It's literally like Mbuti-eating M23 rebels overpowering and taking over the US.  The world regressed for a few centuries afterwards.
