I was told some women look good but whatever God gave them for looks and beauty, he balanced by leaving them with an empty skull. Nature hating vacuums then rushed to fill it up with cow dung (for females) and bullshit (for men). I must add that this has not been scientifically verified. Observers have termed it "plausible".

Julie was always biased but surely she should not moderate this. Last time they made sure Uhuru wouldn't answer any difficult questions and put Raila on trial over ICC instead as if he was the one who set it up. Julie did such a poor job even in her mannerisms, appearing not to be able to tell the difference between a studio interview and a debate! The only one who was fair was Linus Kaikai. You couldn't tell from his behaviour who he supported (I still don't know who he supported, in fact). In any case, I agree with Patel. Don't know what purpose those debates serve in Kenya anyway. I feel like either the networks skew the results after the debate or we are just soo biased already that they don't influence anybody and therefore are not useful for either the candidates or the audience. Raila should not participate. But if it goes ahead, let someone who can behave in a neutral way replace Julie Gichuru. She should do TV interviews, NOT moderate tense political debates.

Julie is a firm believer in the entitlement of Uthamaki and like colonial officers sent to various schools to prepare for the leadership of the primitive tribes abroad, she is playing her part.

She feels she is owed positions, power and privilege because of her tribal belonging and well, she married in to it.

There is some condescension in everything she does.

She started hosting Africa Debates. There her shallowness showed through. Of Course it is good to speak with an imitation of a British accent (not that it is anywhere near it) but you must also say something. An accent / language is a vehicle. Sometimes it is full of passengers and goods. Julie's would always be empty. She would be "interviewing" people and end up speaking more than the interview object. Such is the love she has for her own voice, she can't wait for her interview objects to put in a word. I wonder if those interviews are going on and if they are if they still have any viewers. I think it was about announcing that Julie met Dangote or Zuma (a nasty womanizer and lecher)

I do not think we can stop Raila from attending the debates. I have given up on hoping he would do the right thing. My entire body is prepared for the fact that Raila will be invited to the debate and he will go. There he will run in to an ambush organized by Uhuru. Uhuru will come and leave unscathed. Somehow all the sins of the last 5 years will be placed on Raila's period as Prime Minister.

The other bad news is that his wife has just joined the campaign trail. So we are prepared for some bizarre activities in the coming few weeks - from dressing up in feathers to mismatching clothes. When you want to be President there is a clear dress code.

Like I have said before my loyalty is to the party and now the Coalition not a person.

Julie should definitely stay off - too self-important. Debates are good people: not everyone believes in tribalism. There are independents and undecideds like yours truly. Raila should attend conditional on a neutral, professional panel. Glad to hear Mrs Ida "divers" Odinga is back on the trail - antics are a flavor... cheer up :D

Here we go. Julie I long left the media and now rans his M-Cheza sport betting. The media will agree with presidential candidates on questions and moderators...why jump the gun? Uhuru faced tough questions around ICC/Land but of course he came prepared.

Of course we know Uhuru is emerge victorous- and will wipe the floor again and again with Raila on any debate moderated by anyone.

Raila outside re-hearsed vitendawilis & commentating on football matches - has very little to offer - you can almost predict what he'll say - "we are at cross-croad bla bla"

Uhuru is just a quick thinker...and so is WSR...so Jubilee have the best team that will definitely embarrass both Raila and Kalonzo in the debates.

Okey dokey. Media moderators can be biased... like the US DNC leaked the questions to Hillary to rig out Sanders. Julie is a declared Jubilee supporter and should stay off the panel unless Raila has no issue with it. If Uhuru is so top-notch the debate will tell us. He is nothing like WSR by the way.

Pundit is not upto date on the goings on. Could be because being in Uganda has its setbacks.

The media is now debating the issue of moderators. The name of Julie has come up and guess what every GEMA and Jubilee supporter wants her.

Moderators - as we have seen with the US and UK - do not necessarily have to be working in the mass media at the time. Julie can however argue that being in PR or communication in whatever company still puts her in contention.

I based my posting this about her on the campaign to have her a moderator.

Raila was burdened with the desire to be seen as the "incumbent". He wanted to show a responsible face of government. That is where he went wrong.

I can't see him defending the maize shortage or telling LIES to cover up for it.

He can't LIE about laptops or the school kids milk that Jubilee promised.

He can't LIE about the Secondary Education which Uhuru said would start in 2015 and now wants to be believed when he says it will start in 2018 AFTER he is re-elected (if he ever gets re-elected!)

He can't LIE about why the SGR contract was renegotiated only to have 100Billion more added to it and for a shorter distance!

He can't LIE that Uhuru's sister is "disabled and disadvantaged" and therefore qualified for all the recent tenders including the Afya House heist

He can't LIE about the Eurobond especially when asked to show which projects consumed all the money!

I can go on an on. Raila is NOT the incumbent. Uhuru is the incumbent.

As for the use of figures of speech to explain, it is an old well known tactic. Wole Soyinka mocks the "modernist" Kongi who looks down on the his own people and their traditions:
Quote

That said, Raila did not recount football in the debates. It is a smear founded on hate.

I understand Pundit hero-worships Uhuru. He is younger than Raila of course and he is eloquent. But Uhuru is NOT bright. He repeats what he is told but for him to be the person Pundit is claiming, he would have to read his briefs, study issues and generally form his own opinion. Uhuru has no such time. He saves all his time for alcohol and opium.

BTW "Mtu wa Vitendawili" is the insult foul mouthed Ruto liked to use against Raila before we coined "Mtu wa Vitanda Mbili" then he slowed down.

Pundit's  whole argument this political season is that 2017 = 2013 and that nothing changed.  He is in total denial and cannot accept the obvious fact that Jubilee government has been a disaster and that its electoral base has shrunk significantly.

You only ran away from incumbency when you've spend 5yrs with nothing to show - but lots of quarrels with Kibaki. Right now UhuRuto have solid 4.5 yr record they're proud of and Raila can't help but take credit for many of Jubilee projects.

Jubilee will stand in the podium proud that he delivered 95% of his pledges.

You lost your objectivity and became a biased partisan Jubilee whacko and with that went my respect for you. May be it will be restored at some point.

To claim that Raila achieved nothing in NARA and keep a straight face is such a shame.

Plus at what point did Raila run away from incumbency? I have clearly stated that what incumbency weighed Raila down and he was too much of a statesman to run away from it. The person who RAN AWAY from incumbency and denied then as he denies now any role in the NARA government is Uhuru Kenyatta.

His speeches then (2013) and now claim that he had no role in the NARA government and I would have imagined you would not join the tribal indoctrinated riffraff that says amen to that because you know Uhuru was in the NARA government controlling the money and frustrating Raila.
2009 to 2012 - Minister for Finance (4 years) which equals the tenure of Mudavadi, Saitoti, Mwiraria and beats that of Kimunya, Michuki, Githae, Nyachae, Masakhalia, Okemo and Obure

It obvious Raila had more power than Uhuru - who spent most of his time worrying about ICC - and was eventually fired. Raila hired half the cabinet, had the speaker, parliamentary majority and real incumebency that won him votes in places he could dish favours.

Once again I don't see Uhuru trying to ran from incumbency now. He is going to stand on that podium and this time round the fight will on Raila trying to take praise for Jubilee work.

Uhuru has done a lot of stuff in 4 yrs  - SGR - electrification on steroids - 1m laptop for kids for all schools - roads - name it - why would it weigh him down? The only thing weighing down Jubilee is the soaring Unga/Milk/Sugar prices....that is being sorted by subsidy and rainfall.

1. The cabinet posts were dished out to various factions - with Ruto taking his and that of his faction as pre-agreed.
2. Please name the places where you think he won votes because he had dished out a job to a local beneficiary
3. Ruto took away the ODM majority when he made a secret pact with Uhuru and Kibaki. Say if you need proof

I can't quite follow what you mean. If you are suggesting that Uhuru is NOT trying to run away from incumbency then you have not been watching him as well as you claim. But then it is us to watch Uhuru and Ruto not you. Here is a sample:
Just a reminder: William Ruto was minister for Agriculture and Uhuru Kenyatta minister for Finance. Yet a year later they were "reforming" ...????

Unlike you I don't do propaganda. Jubilee promised and delivered DIGITAL LEARNING for primary kids. They allocated funds the first year and then procurement got entangled by court process - and Jubilee had to restart again. Uhuru had promise std1 kids a laptop but it got even better -  that was the vision - and when it came to implementing it - Jubilee had to deal with many issues - procurement, electrifying schools, training teachers and all the ground work that has made this possible - schools got tablet & audio-visual equipment - for teaching kids from std1 to std 8.
1) Nearly all schools were electrified
2) Thousands of teachers trained to be computer literate.
3) 700,000 tablets have been delivered together with projectors and all that. The last 0.5M are being delivered now. That makes 1.2M tablets delivered.

The was no need to deliver laptops because the tablets like you phone is now more powerful than laptop of 5 yrs ago and they are cheaper, more portable & get the job done.

Show me one single country that has done as much for schools in 4 yrs! Not only in Africa but even the rest of the world.

Thank you for admitting that NO LAPTOPS were given to any child in Kenyan schools by Jubilee. It is much better than the LIES being peddled to the contrary. So please in your next posts praising Jubilee, kindly avoid mentioning LAPTOPS.

Digital Learning! You got jokes. We can't quote you but kindly let Uhuru or Ruto or any of their surrogates make that claim and you sit and watch how we turn it against them.

Semantics.1.2M computers have been delivered to kids, 25,000 schools electrified and thousands of teachers trained.Jubilee have delivered on their promise to Kenya kids. Unprivileged kids all over kenya in public schools are now learning cutting edge tech. This project was not easy - considering the states of school infrastructure but Jubilee dream big and delivered.

The choice of tablets versus laptop is obviously technical details no sane kenyan is interested in....unless you mean the tablets are under-powered or somehow won't achieve the objective of this programme.

Pledges are visions!
