It seems like elementary and I'll dare say normal disorganization.

The quest by DP to have his compliant men under JP all over the country for 2022 battle seems can make even 2017 a tight contest. The fallouts will benefit likes of Rutto, Karua, Mutua and Munya all who are DP potential threats. This JP merger experiment could backfire. Despite IEBC insisting that party hopping they will have nothing once the fringe parties declare they had given those rigged out/dissatisfied by JP nominations certificates.

Once the 'lock in' effect that was the purpose of JP is broken this early, the knock on effects will be fluid and very volatile.

In principle if you are rigged out you may not jump to a new party. But the courts suspended the law that bars it and by the time it is reinstated, the nominations would have ended.

However should the IEBC with pressure from Jubilee and NASA (when two demons agree we are told to find God as fast as possible because lives fall at risk) it is possible to run as independents. As an independent you can decide to ally with any party.

We told Pundit that Kanu 2.0 is a bad idea and not just with logistical challenges that are now apparent. Arap Moi ran Kanu with an iron fist and with help of the provincial administration. Uhuruto do not have those luxuries. Expect massive defections to fringe parties and even genuine losers now have an excuse to jump ship.

Here's Pundit gloating over Jubilee's "well oiled machine"  :D :D

I find this mass failure amazing for a party with a "nerve center". Will these same guys run a "tight ship" in 4 months time?

Had these been ODM/CORD/NASA events, long fingers with sharp nails would be already pointing at the NIS.  But they are not, and they too are not.   So, there are only three possibilities here: (a) the NIS types mistook these for ODM/NASA/CORD events, (b) some NIS types have gone rogue, and (c) NIS is an "equal opportunity" agency and ensures that its mischief is evenly spread.    :D

The reasons why the NIS is not mentioned is simple: They cannot sabotage the elections of the party the are out to support.

Again it is upto Jubilee people to identify who is responsible for the chaos. Mandago thinks it is William Ruto and his rigging schemes. A Jubilee MP in Kajiado has pointed a long finger with very sharp nails at ODM and Raila. H e is so far alone.

Most people point at ineptitude and greed. From the JP office where kickbacks were arranged to the printers and transporters who thought the officials' cut ate in to their own working capital.

Uhuru held a press conference at State House accompanied by Jubilee Party Officials Raphael Tuju and William Ruto - the two people blamed for the fiasco. The task of reorganizing the primaries was handed to William Ruto! He will work hand in glove with Raphael Tuju!

So let's see how this rolls out.

Just as a precaution, Uhuru summoned the IEBC chair and asked him to extend the deadlines to accommodate Jubilee's challenges. The IEBC promptly sent out a call for a meeting scheduled for Sunday at 10. We all know the minutes in advance!
