Although it does sometimes happen, generally it's near-impossible to get Kenyans to protest about anything---unless it is about getting "our man" into some position, and they have been told that "money has been poured to finish us".
As an example, take corruption and all the ink, sound, etc. that go into the subject. How many protests and demonstrations have you seen, and what was the attendance? The last one that I am aware of was ages ago and involved about 30 people, half of them Boniface Mwangi (or one of those guys) and his sidekicks.
Endless police brutality, very poor services from the government, serious criminality from those whose duty is to uphold or enforce the law, ... none of these will stir Kenyans. Sometimes I think the "leaders" are simply going along with a lot that appear to be willing suckers for punishment.
