Isn't 3.5million too much for a wedding?

Especially when all they wanted was a 100 shilling wedding!!
Priorities my fellow Kenyans. They could have used the money to buy something of value that will benefit them instead of a wedding.

Kenyans are copycats and once 100 shillings weddings become acceptable in the society It will mean death to flourishing wedding industry in kenya. The business clowns have to remind you that 100 shillings wedding is not good enough.  Only fools get in debt because of wedding or call harambee (pre wedding) to marry.

Though beggars got few choices, the guy especially, should find his voice and be assertive on these marketing gimmicks and offers. He should negotiate for empowering options or though unfathomable say no to such extravagant offers, which will ultimately put a strain on the relationship in the (near) future.

The poor guy is being pimped by the business in the name of free offers. Are the no honest agent that can hold this couple hands and drive a hard bargain on their behalf?

Even in NYC where there are outrageous prices, 3.5 million is a top notch wedding.
But this is a marketing gimmick. These guys got it for free but its the land of the contrasts. Very poor vs filthy rich.

The services are probably not anywhere near worth the number they say they are.  Otherwise, they should be able to replace them with the cash value as you suggest.

Maybe you mean in dollars.  In Ksh, that's high, but not eye popping in the US.
