Kiir JKL Interview Walked Over Jeff
« on: August 27, 2016, 12:24:27 AM »
To interview a guy like Kiir, you need information. Jeff had none and simply cosmetically touched on harmless things which Kiir found exceedingly useful

The next time he interviews him let him ask about tribalism specifically why with the appointment of Deng to replace Machar, the three top positions are now occupied by Dinkas

If Kiir still allows him to continue sitting he should ask him about the huge salaries that his minister earn (USD 200,000 per month) in a poor country.

If Kiir has not ordered him locked up in a container, he should ask him to explain the use of helicopter gunships on civilians.

The impression I have is that JKL is little more than glorified bar-room banter.

Kiir seem to have outsmarted Machar. Machar fell hook, line and sinker for the peace deal. He is lucky to be alive. It was rather obvious the illeterate Kiir had not time for the phd Machar and was going to kill him. Now I want Kiir to finish the job -kill Machar  & the nuer rebellion- so South Sudan can have some peace. Democracy can wait.

Problem with South Sudan is Kiir. Who would've thought he was a delusional nazi. Worse than Bashir.

That sounds almost like a recipe for genocide.  Killing Machar might send Nuer into a frenzy.

Genocide cannot happen in place where settlement is not homogenous. This can only happen in say Rwanda or Burundi or comsopolitan areas. Nuer will stay in their corner a disgruntled lot.It hard for either camp to invade another territory and kill in big number. This dinka-nuer war has to end somehow. And for now smart money is on Kiir. I was pro-Machar until he fell for this trap and know he has no way of coming back & restarting this. By the time he gets well - the landscape in South Sudan would have fundamentally changed.

Unless Machar dies he will always get support. See where he went for medical assistance? He turned to the Fatherland for help.

Bashir will keep Machar alive to extract as many concessions from Kiir as he can.

That said, the problems of South Sudan go beyond Machar. One year over there and I was convinced those people had no claim to nationhood. They are a primitive tribal society that has a long way to go to understand statehood and statecraft.

It was a very painful conclusion.

It looks like Sudan is going to have a lot to say about what kind of  peace if any the South enjoys.  Nuer are dominant in the oil rich part of South Sudan.

? It is tribal. Kiir belongs to the dominant Dinka-Kikuyu-Uhuru-conservative-genocide alliance whereas Machar supported by the second most populous tribe purported peace embracing Nuer-Liberal-Western-nontribal faction.

Windy is correct to say a recipe for genocide should Kiir not be uprooted. He needs to step down.

Quote
The Dinka people (part of the Nilotic group) have no centralized political authority, but are instead organized by several independent but interlaced clans. The Dinka people are the largest group in South Sudan, representing 35.8% of the population in 2013

...
Nuer people (27.6% of the South Sudan population living primarily in the historicGreater Upper Nile region along with a significant number of Dinka).

Things were doing well in South Sudan when RAO was the prime minister and kept Kiir on a tight leash. As soon as Uhuruto stepped in with their conservative underhanded deals- Kiir went rogue.

Uhuru's kleptomaniacs are there right now helping to plan for genocide. It's just a progression of their initial plans- rape South Sudan's oil through blackmail. Prior, RAO struck up a fair and peaceful energy deal but conservative factions don't have policies for energy & peace. Case in point Iraq, Afghanistan, the Middle East.

seeing the bullets in that Juba state house looks Kiir was ready to take out Machar ... Uhuru had to touch the bullet holes
