Malema Grabs Zuma's Balls
« on: August 17, 2016, 02:07:47 PM »
The ANC put up a brave face in the face of a brutal take down by Democratic Alliance and EFF (Malema). However they see what they thought as a moderate victory evaporating as Malema refuses to budge and support them to a majority in some councils. He has opted to support the DA without joining their governments. That way he can share credit and none of the balme. Genius.

ANC using old men (Veterans of the struggle against apartheid) to exert pressure on Malema to relent. This is what he said to those members in prime time:

This is why the ANC is ready to lick Malema's ass:

Quote
Johannesburg results are 99.29% complete:
ANC: 44.83%
DA: 38.53%
EFF: 10.96%

The thought of losing Joburg is too much to bear.

Malema ought to be worried though.  That ANC's loses were DA's rather than EFF's gains.

Malema has surprised many by his political astuteness. If he had been Kenyan he would be gorging himself to money, land and positions for his cronies as he cashes in on his new found influence.

The DA cannot act without Malema. Neither can the ANC. Both fell short of a majority which the EFF can provide.

Malema is aware of the anger people still fell for the Whites and is keen to distance himself from the DA by carefully defining his role. However his ultimate prize is to take votes from the ANC and is going after unpopular Zuma demanding his resignation to ensure that he stays put through the next parliamentary elections when the EFF will expand its mandate and extract concessions from the government.

Looking further ahead, I think the South African system is heading to a stalemate the constitution did not envisage and may well resort to the Westminster system with a PM to avoid upheavals.

Malema ought to be worried though.  That ANC's loses were DA's rather than EFF's gains.

He may be willing to distance himself from DA.  That's fine.  My point however is, why did the DA trounce his party in Gauteng in the process winning over a good chunk of the blacks EFF claims to be looking out for?

Malema is no angel and most South Africans are very cautious about him. But he is a creation of  Jacob Zuma , who is now hated with passion by all South African except his fellow Zulus ( Majority tribe in South Africa ). Zuma is surviving courtesy of tyranny of numbers from nyoba ( zulu). But his days are numbered.

Why is it that when the banks fail, they come begging to be nationalized?

Malema was one of those youngsters who made themselves up from corruption.  Then turned on the system when it puked them out.  Anyone who takes him seriously ought to do so purely on his potential to lure South Africa's version of an idiot Trump supporter(even that is now in doubt).  Not because his ideas are anything worth considering.
