Abubu "Rebellion" Fizzles
« on: July 16, 2016, 01:02:14 PM »
First it was Otichillo who denounced him. Now Otuoma has denied any part in rebellion saying he only quit being Vice Chairman :D

NAIROBI: Funyula MP Paul Otuoma has reiterated he is in ODM to stay. Otuoma said he only relinquished the post of Vice chairman after seeing unease from fellow leaders from Western Kenya counties but would solidly stay put.

Otuoma was speaking at Sega Market in Ugenya Constituency ahead of Cord leader Raila Odinga's visit aimed at stemming rebellion after disgruntled Secretary General and Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba announced he had resigned. But ODM echelons however challenged Ababu to table his resignation in writing in seven days or be defrocked.

Senator Agnes Zani was appointed acting secretary general as Raila brigades sweep Busia County to whip up support. Raila's visit has sent Ababu into panic with criticism that the former PM had not visited Budalangi in 9 years.

But Raila responded by publishing photos when he was hosted by Ababu in 2014.

Ababu hurriedly rebutted the visit claiming it was only a funeral the leaders attended.

Observers are keenly watching how Busia residents will react to Raila visit and how he hopes to stem rebellion.

At the core of rebellion is the perception that Busia is a Luhya County yet the governor Sospeter Ojaamong is from Teso community. Some residents also want the seat of Women's MP currently held by Florence Mutua and perceived as an outsider to be renegotiated at the 2017 General Election.

It is believed Otuoma is angling for the plum post of Secretary General surrendered by Ababu but only time will tell.

Poor Ababu is about to discover what it feels to be also "betrayed". He will be lucky if he has one Mp by year end :)

For me the man to learn is Raila. It was made very clear to him that Namwamba had treachery running in the veins of his body alongside blood. He refused. He by-passed loyalits to appoint him Minister. That saw Chanzu and Khaniri bolt because the Western caucus had landed on one of them.

Otherwise recall what I told you. Many MPs have openly asked to go and get free cash.

It is so naive of Namwamba to get a few millions, get excited and believe he can treat fellow MPs as if they were boda boda. Otuoma got between 10 - 20 went for shopping and while there realized that Ababu gave him change.

Otichillo got 5 millions. He's used to more. No deal!

Chanzu asked for his house to be redeemed. Ababu gave out peanuts. A former Chief Quantity Surveyor used to much more than that declined.

Then he approached Jirongo. The former YK92 operative served him tea and then told him to take his 5M with him back to Ruto and inform him "Jirongo has taken great offence"

Some of the stories are so funny as to be unbelievable.

Washiali has his own line but camped at Ababu's to get his cut.

Ababu is learning political money business. Now there are MPs, MCAs etc travelling from far and wide to his home and if they get anything, protest it was not close to nearly enough. If they don't get same story. Those who get and those who don't leave angry with him and Jubilee.
Poor Ababu is about to discover what it feels to be also "betrayed". He will be lucky if he has one Mp by year end :)

Pity to see Simanova toil so on here while Ruto brags to the headlines. Today I heard, nay saw, him chide the crowd about the clarity of choice between kitendawili, makelele, maandamano na firimbi vs white castles aka Jubilee.

Hata kama iko giza utashindwa kuchagua? :D

Stuff for comedy. You have yourself a battle I think.

A very sad thing that these people only want power, instead of coming up with legislation to empower more Kenyans get affordable access to education, health, water, etc.

If political parties were factories Kenya would be fully industrialized.  :(

Mr Mudavadi intends to give the presidency a shot once more... after folding his party... I think there will be mid primaries in Jubilee :o :o

Did the Windy Assassin recommend a brain transplant for this man?

Quote
The dissolution of New Ford-Kenya and the United Democratic Front to join Jubilee, and the defection of western Kenya ODM leaders led by secretary-general Ababu Namwamba have set in motion a fever pitch scramble for a piece of one of the richest vote baskets, just a year to the next General Election.

The move has sent ripples on the political scene after several MPs from UDF and New Ford-Kenya announced they would be joining the Jubilee Party, triggering fresh realignments.

...

Mr Mudavadi is asking the Luhya to back his second bid for the presidency, arguing that unlike in the 2013 General Election, his political vehicle for the 2017 is a homegrown party.

The amount of stolen money these goons spend riding around in SUVs can well be spent building schools, roads, etc. Sad thing is Kenyans keep cheering whos up and whos down.

It is amazing how these parties and coalitions have "dissolved" without consulting elected members.

UDF... Khalwale et al left homeless
New FORD K... most Trans Nzoia MPs?
APK ("Mbus")... Munya left partyfree in catfight for Meru governor with Kiraitu

This was enabled by new parties act rushed through by Jubilee. UhuRuto really stink of lawlessness and impunity.

Hehehe...that's funny.  He can't survive a brain transplant.  Messi seems to be making a living as a professional spoiler.  Viewed any other way, his political moves make zero sense.

Only Ruto's moves make sense: everything fits his chessboard  8) Jubilee consolidation (JAP), Gemaland tours frequency and ODM shambles are telling. Raila is caught so out of step this round. Even Uhuru can't keep up -- he is at UN conference as Ruto in Gatundu is comparing Cord with nightfall.

Ujanja wa Ruto umezidi.
