Sleep is more important than Food

As some somebody who suffers frequent bouts insomnia. I have to say sleep is the most important thing more than eating. You deprive someone sleep you make them non-functional. We can all fast or stay hungry for a several days and survive but I doubt you can go for 7 days without sleep and not go crazy. Just 3 or 4 hours of sleep deprivation a night will cause so much havoc in your life that you will be walking in a haze. When we transitioned from summer to fall last year my insomnia got so bad for the first time in life I took sleeping pills. After going for  a week without enough sleep I decided I got take the pill. The first night I had  8 hours of sleep was like I had been reborn again. Now my internal body clock has reset and I am being able to get at least 7 hours of sleep.

Ok. There's this guy who suffered from serious insomnia. He could only sleep for a few minutes per day. After some time his body could not take it anymore and he died. Sleep detoxifies the brain.
