What else is new. They still need more time to complete Goldenberg.

They say the international angle is the complicating factor.  The UK Serious fraud office is holding back EACC investigations apparently. Perhaps they should summon them to table their evidence with threats of arrest.

Apparently there is some compensation due to Kenya from this scam.  But not a peep has been heard from the Kenyan side.

Muthoni Kimani has promised to properly sit down with the UK government over the issue.  No dates or deadline of any sort given.

Which I find surprising.  Because, from a Kenyan perspective, that seems like just more free loot.

This is a clear example of ineptitude.
Money is very cheap in Kenya, although govt can't even afford toilet tissue.
Waste is the order of the day.
If you did an audit of spending, you'll collapse.
Wheelbarrows for $1000.
Shady Buildings for 17million
muram Roads for billions..

I doubt that it's a simple matter of going over there and saying "compensate us".   At the least, they would have to provide a legal basis---facts, names, results of some investigations, etc.---and we shouldn't assume that anyone is keen to do that.    Why would anyone in the government be keen to take a close look at the IEBC, especially if they knew what would be found?   Better to keep some worms canned.   "Quizz", "record statements", "leave no stone unturned' ...  and leave it at that.
