It is not a pundit issue. Pundit is from Kericho he is a Kipsigis not a Marakwet. Jebii Cherimo is trying to stop FGM but like faith culture is something difficult to change

Its a jungle out there.  They are represented by Kipchumba Murkomen.  Formerly Nicholas Biwot's area.  In the valley, it's not uncommon to see people loitering in their birthday suits.

But their FGM, while still brutal, is mild compared to what 90+% of Somali girls undergo without their consent.

Marakwet have made great strides....in the last few yrs. They are slowly emerging from stone age. Most of northern kenya communities were never really colonized...they remain closed districts.....so it will take time before they become civilized.
