There are a few good selections though.  Joe Mucheru seems like a good pick.  Still I concur that at the end of the day, it is musical chairs.  Given that the real motive is self-preservation, it's not clear how going all out for diversity would hurt kamwana.

Kenya hates thinkers. You see Kaimenyi was an evil genius that education sector needed to reform. His radical reforms such as outlawing ranking, tuition etc is what the education sector needs. In Kaimeny i saw an educationist that given time could be able to tame KNUT especially when it comes to 200K teachers deployment. Right now the ratio of teachers to students is 40 however it is skewed in some areas because teachers have been asking to be deployed to areas that favor them eg near their home. You have areas like Nairobi, Central, Nyanza with more teachers that there are needed and ASAL areas lacking teachers. KNUT has been opposing redistribution of teachers for decades. So now they have gotten their wish by having Kaimenyi to be reassigned. We have to keep reformers in the right places otherwise it is all musical chairs
