Gachagua doing Trump on Somalis, unleashed Kikuyu ICE

I have never understood why certain Kikuyu elites persistently promote Somalis as outsiders in Kenya. Recently, Gachagua has been using Trump-like rhetoric against Somalis. By stoking Kikuyu grievances of others stealing from the Government and not them .He unleashing Kikuyu-affiliated thugs (acting as a kind of vigilante "ICE") on them, he has shown he truly has a bone to pick with this community.
During my brief stay in Nanyuki since Thursday, the talk in the town's bars has been dominated by "Somali this, Somali that," proving how effectively this divisive rhetoric has taken hold.

If you are Somali and invested in Kikuyu counties better be carefull!

The people from North Eastern counties are fully behind Gachagua. After years of devolution and trillions of shillings, they have experienced nothing but economic violence from their leaders. There are good schools, no running water, no toilets, women dying everyday at childbirth or traveling long distances to find a hospital, no medicine, no tangible economic development. This is an issue that affects all Kenyans, it’s their money that is stolen by this so called businessmen. I started talking about this issue way before Gachagua and I am still hopeful that North Eastern people can elect leaders that will give them hope and demand accountability from this present leaders, return all the stolen money. Start by freezing accounts and passports, some of the money is invested abroad.

Gachagua is coating dangerous tribal vitriol with this truth. This rhetoric makes the streets very dangerous for every Somali citizen in the GEMA region. The conversations I've been hearing lately in bars and public spaces are alarming and directly threaten Somali businesses and safety.

Gachagua has not advocated for violence on any community in Kenya. Somalis just like Kikuyus are everywhere in Kenya hustling and have been doing business in peace and will remain that way. Rigathi Gachagua is an extremely dangerous figure for the Kikuyu community in Kenya, as well as for other tribes he labels as "kabila adui" or outsiders. I hope the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) intervenes to stop him before his inflammatory rhetoric sets the country ablaze.

Kikuyus are not afraid anymore, fear has no currency in kikuyuland. Kenya has to liberate from Kasongo’s idiocy. We fought Moi for 24yrs, Kasongo is nothing.

The Song of Somalis replacing Kikuyus no matter how much it is repeated will never be true, I respect Somalis as business people and always have. I have lived and interacted with Somalis for majority of my life. I am not one to claim tribal credit for anything but have you ever heard of the Rwathia group, Equity Bank, Chris Kirubi etc a few Somalis have stolen money and established businesses but go towns like Nakuru, Thika, Naivasha, Nairobi, Mombasa, Nyeri, Kiambu, Muranga and find out who owns stuff do not forget farming, coffee, tea, dairy etc Somalis thieves other than destroying their communities with poverty have not even come close to Kikuyus on anything.
