Programmers, engineers, and other skilled folk – almost 500 arrested in a plant in Georgia. Apparently South Korea invests billions in battery plants but hires their people regardless of the location. Reports show the massive plant will likely close instead of hiring locals lol. Other grapevine reports show trump wanted something, but the Koreans were not playing ball, so the raid was instituted! South Korea and China are supposedly advanced, but their citizens are still crossing the US border like everyone else. Something is not adding up!

I don't get how Trump hopes to bring back factories while actively chasing away cheap labor. This is swimming upstream.

Factories and the US in general want cheap labour. When slavery was abolished and free labour ended, they quietly opened borders and opened legal immigration in masses, starting with Dusty Europeans from poland, Italy, Germany, etc., followed by hispanics. Without free or cheap labour, the US economy simply crumbles. When black were providing free labor, big corporations were thriving to the max, but when cheap labour came through immigration, their profits were cut by almost 50%, so they decided to pass punitive laws that forced millions of  Americans into prison camps so that free labour could be utilised alongside border crossers. Good that South Korea stands by their people, unlike other countries where citizens arrive home with tiny paper bags and broken backs from violent arrests. I see even South Koreans/Asians are arrested with class, unlike latinos who face tough arrests that usually end up fracturing their ribs, bones and shoulders.

South Koreans in Georgia voted for Trump by like 64% and Trump also has a huge following in South Korea, they are now quickly finding out that they are not white. I actually do not think these MAGA people care about economics, their main goal is to make America white and inflict as much pain and cruelty to anyone who opposes them. Trump just declared war on Chicago, an American city full of citizens, it’s on truth social. The most disappointing thing is that most Americans are not raising up to these nonsense, I never thought Americans would take dictatorships lying down, not after lecturing the rest of the world for years and fighting wars to spread democracy, it was all a farce.

Trump is unhinged because of his deteriorating health; hence, the cruelty. I think he figured that the US immigration system is very hard to control because of laws passed many years ago that can only be reversed by congress. Executive has very limited powers compared to courts, which  interpret laws passed by congress as they are. My neighbour is a senior immigration officer, and on my morning walk today we trolled the neighbourhood discussing things immigration. He thinks USCIS will suffer financially soon because their customers, especially those domestic, have put off plans of seeking immigration benefits because of fear in the air. Apparently almost all their budget is funded by immigration fees, which are dwindling as the customers pull back. He thinks approvals now are even higher than a year ago; it could partly be due to the low customer base.

South Korea is flying all their people out delaying the project by years. They are a first world country that not going to let illiterate MAGA to humiliate their people. There is going to be major financial consequences for Georgia after these debacle. It’s the joy of growing up in a first world country, Mexico has its people rotting in alligator Alcatraz.

This is fake news. I can say with absolute fact that there’s no Hyundai plant in Georgia and Koreans don’t do factory work. There aren’t a lot of Koreans in the world. The actual Hyundai factories are in Indonesia and other South East Asian countries because of cheap labour costs.
