Dictators seem to operate from the same playbook. Whether it's Maduro, Ruto, Assad, Museveni, Kagame, Nyisi in Mozambique...the playbook is the same: Use violence to hold onto power. Abduct, murder, torture, etc
But with all these dictators, it ends badly, eventually.
SADC is not going to get involved in Mozambique after that president totally rigged the election. I expect that he will be indicted by the ICC at some point.
Maduro abducting US citizens right before Trump comes in will end very badly for him. You can't mess with the US, the EU and NATO. They control the world because they have the best militaries in the world and maduro will soon find out.
Ruto will also find out. Kenya is too important to the west's military interests in the red sea for them to allow Ruto to screw things up. The same way Senegal is important to the French. The only countries that have surprised me are Ivory Coast (I didn't think the French would allow it to descent into civil war, but maybe they're too many countries in West Africa that France colonized and they can't be everywhere)
The other two countries are Rwanda and Uganda. I think with Rwanda there's still genocide guilt so Kagame is being left alone, but I can't understand Uganda, but maybe with a per capita income ofonly $800 a year, it is too poor to bother with. Also, these two countries are landlocked. Kenya isn't and that does make a difference.
The British also focused heavily on Kenya and not so much on other countries so they too will not allow ruto to mess it up.
