Kenya is way Ahead of 99% of Sub-Saharan African countries
« on: January 05, 2025, 10:53:01 PM »
The only place kenya isn't ahead of is north africa. I was watching this documentary below on the central african republic.  The capital Bangui looks like a village in northern Kenya.

I consider myself to be a student of comparative politics and while no singular country is exactly the same, you can find similarities between systems. The only countries in Africa that have surprised me in terms of regime change are Rwanda and Uganda. Museveni and Kagame are both dictators, but why has the west left them alone? is it because they are both landlocked, poverty stricken countries that are not worth the west's time or what is happening?

Kenya is never left alone by the west and Ruto needs to understand this. Kenya is not burundi.  I want kenyans to come here and explain to me why uganda and rwanda have been left alone.

I blame the French and Russians and corrupt elites. They keep people fighting while planes land in forests and escape with minerals. Kenya almost went there had Wamunyoro crew succeeded in the coup. African countries are so fragile, it can go down any minute. The countryside of Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda is no different than the Central African Republic that much, but at least people have food and a semblance of order. Kenya has made strides, especially in my village in Uasin Gishu, where people have a high quality of living in terms of dwellings, wealth, agriculture, and maturity. In Uasin Gishu, there is a fierce competition for large homes, well-kept lawns, and high-quality things. The difference between 20 years ago and now is striking. Kenya's transformation is real!

Yes. But I think we are not ripe nor fit for democracy. Kibaki and now Ruto deserve(d) space to execute their visions and judged by results. 100x more likely to be positive than anything GenZ "revolution" would ever deliver.

Colonial settlers mean the land was stolen and West has citizens owning land and vast interests to date. Apart from Kenya other colonial settlers states were SA and Zimbabwe.

This means we have direct links to colonial powers - the elites were educated by mzungu and in the mzungu land thus Westphallic and so photos with Biden at White House mean so much.

Kagame from day one was against French and West for 94 genocide complicity. Ssebo has little time for mzungu PR.
